Just a heads-up that I've been through the re-watches so far and have taken notes of things that needed to be amended up to (and including) episode 13. I updated the subs in the Starter Pack and in the softsubs folder (but only the 25fps, I have no idea if anyone at all uses the others).

The updated subs have new timestamps.

I'll always be happy -- very happy, delighted even -- to be told if there's something I can make better, so don't be shy!

Note: As of now, Dixingren are still called Dixing people. And yes, I will make one final post once I've been into all 40 episodes to change it, but it may take me a while to get around to that. I will then NOT overwrite the existing subs zip file but make a separate one.

How do we like 'Underlord' for the Lord of Dixing? Came across it in some ep 5 subs, thought it might sound more specific than just 'Lord of Dixing'. Also shorter for subs. :)

I guess things are coming to a head because the language gets more and more difficult. Or maybe it's just this one particular [bleep] episode.

Anyway. There are several passages which just leave me stumped. So I'll just put them here and throw myself upon your collective mercy. Somebody saaaaave meeeee! I won't even put in my speculations because they are simply crap.

What does any of this say? Some of it sound proverbial, some of it is idiomatic but then the rest isn't. Some of it is just.. there to make my life harder.

ranalore for turning it into an actual poem.

I'm off to Japan for three weeks on Tuesday so I don't expect to get much more done before May. Why does that make me feel sad??? ;_;

I finished 23-25 so this is everything from 6 to 30, with the exception of 28, which I left alone for now because it's an Orange Biscuit sub and therefore much less problematic than some of the others.

Two versions:

The OLD one which is the style I had until now.

OLD version here at MEGA

The LAO one which has Lao Chu and Xiao Guo (and associated changes), plus Chu-ge and Hong-jie. I'm pretty sure that with the Laos and Xiaos I caught everything that's relevant, but less sure about the 'ge' and 'jies' so if there are instances you spot that I missed out I'll be grateful if you tell me so I can fix it. (Or any other fuckuppis. I'm very happy with constructive feedback and not at all precious about my Chinese language skills (HAHAHAHA))
