galaxysoup‘s fic If Live Was a Movie, We‘d Have a Better Soundtrack Than This. They squeed about the fic a bit, and then discussed the general dynamics in the Detective-boyfriends genre. A very enjoyable episode and hopefully relevant to your interests!

As always, I'm stupidly late to the party. But thanks to

umadoshi, I'm now hooked on Guardian. I'm up to episode 17 at the moment.

Like everyone else, I 100% adore the Shen Wei/Zhao Yunlan relationship, and have already picked up some good recs for early on in the show from this community. But over the last few episodes (and especially in episode 17 with the underground fighting arena), I've realised that what I'm actually craving is some good Guo Changcheng/Chu Shuzhi fic (or indeed some juicy meta).

Does anyone have any recommendations for me?

Tropes make the fannish world go round. Where would we be without our Pornstar With a Heart of Gold? How did people get together if not for the fact that There Was Only One Bed?

The magic of tropes in fandom is in the unique way a writer can take what is usually Capitalist and Heterosexual and turn it into something Free, Creative and Queer. Tropes is also, somehow, a universal fandom language. Maybe you've never touched or seen k-pop fandom in your life, but there's one thing your fandom and k-pop fandom have in common: coffeeshop AUs.

Here's another update on my project to list all the food and drink in the drama. I started out with a preliminary list based on skimming, my memory and other people's rewatches. I'm now slowly working through a full rewatch. I've been doing 2-3 episodes a week and posting here with updates every couple of weeks. The master post has now been updated through episode 35.
