Episode 22, up to 22:08

Summary
Professor Ouyang gives the miracle doctor a five-star review, and the SID go back for treatment, but Dr Feng sees Da Qing spying (in human form, doh) and calls it off. Back at the SID, everyone is gloomy; Zhao Yunlan tries to cheer them up. Shen Wei goes back, but Dr Feng won't listen and, when Shen Wei presses, tells him to kneel -- outside. After a moment's internal struggle, Shen Wei does. It rains. Dr Feng shouts at him for being stubborn and finally relents. Only then does Shen Wei take off his glasses and smile to himself.

Dr Feng heals Zhao Yunlan's eyes, and Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan beaming at each other lights up the room. ♥ ♥ ♥

The sudden-ageing case starts. Zhao Yunlan sends Chu Shuzhi and Guo Changcheng to interview the latest victim. Meanwhile, Li Qian receives a call from Professor Ouyang, who wants to run some tests on her after her exposure to the Sundial.

The SID works the sudden ageing case, and Zhu Hong literally joins the dots, recognising a pattern that implicates Dr Feng. Back to his clinic, where Dr Feng admits a mysterious stranger used the Merit Brush to boost his skills. Learning the cost of his treatments, he resolves to sacrifice himself to return some of the stolen energy, and of course Zhao Yunlan chooses to join him and reverse his own healed eyesight.

When they're working the rapid-ageing case at the SID, Chu Shuzhi is the one at the whiteboard with the marker; I wonder how consciously he's emulating the Envoy, Professor Shen.

Do you have a favourite scene or line of dialogue from this half episode? How much do you think Professor Ouyang knows about Shen Wei's background -- does he have access to official information, or is he just going off Shen Wei's research? When Shen Wei returns alone to Dr Feng's clinic, does he reveal his Dixing identity? If not, why not? Does Dr Feng know they're from the SID? On a scale of 1 to 1000, how glorious are Zhao Yunlan and Shen Wei's smiles after Zhao Yunlan's eyes are healed? Professor Ouyang and Professor Zhou know about the Hallows, so why did Lin Jing lie about them to Zhao Xinci? How does Shen Wei feel about Zhao Yunlan's decision to reverse the healing of his eyes?

Episode 21, up to 23:00

Summary
Zhao Yunlan eats breakfast at the SID while everyone watches in dismay, then he dismisses them all for the holiday and leaves with Shen Wei. Chu Shuzhi asks Zhu Hong about Shen Wei's presence the night before, and she decides it's time to let the cat out of the bag. At the hospital, Shen Wei's old classmate Dr Cheng Xinyan checks Zhao Yunlan's eyes and can't find anything physically wrong. Zhao Yunlan insists Shen Wei leave to take a lecture.

Lin Jing sits in a music shop, browsing through everyone's holiday selfies. Zhu Hong is at the Snake Village. Guo Changcheng has taken Chu Shuzhi (and his puppet) home for a socially awkward game of mahjong. Meanwhile, Da Qing and Zhao Yunlan hang out at the hospital, where Da Qing teases Zhao Yunlan, eats his snacks, and delivers a recorder full of messages from the team. The recorder includes Zhu Hong's podfic of the Record of Ancient Secrets, and hearing Kunlun's name messes up Da Qing's head. Zhao Yunlan leaves him with Cheng Xinyan for treatment and decides to make his own way home.

Shen Wei is distracted in class to the point where everyone notices. Zhao Yunlan fumbles his way around the hospital, only to be intercepted by his dad.

Lin Jing sees a hot girl in the music shop, and he chases after her to return some sheet music she left behind. Alas, she's working with Ya Qing.

Zhao Xinci drives Zhao Yunlan home. Upon arrival, they argue about Zhao Yunlan's "friendship" with Shen Wei, and then Zhang Shi emerges to wax philosophical. Zhao Yunlan goes inside but has a vision of his father in a car crash and rushes back out with the help of a kind neighbour. He has a near-miss with a car, and Shen Wei snatches him to safety. Shen Wei grabs Zhao Yunlan's wrist and tows him back inside.

In the Snake Village, young men are lining up to audition for the role of Zhu Hong's husband, but she's only interested in finding a cure for Zhao Yunlan's eyesight. Her uncle mentions the Yashou flea market.

Shen Wei puts Zhao Yunlan on the bed; Zhao Yunlan won't stay put. Shen Wei grows agitated enough to let slip an oblique reference to YOHE, and Zhao Yunlan fishes for answers. Then Zhu Hong calls about the flea market, and they leave in search of a cure.
