Introducing the Case of the Week Series!

Welcome to sign-ups for the Case of the Week Series! In this series, post hosts choose 1) a weekend slot, and 2) a case from the list below (or any other Guardian case we’ve missed, novel or drama). On your chosen weekend, post anything related to the case. Post ideas:

• silly polls
• reaction posts
• speculative discussion starters
• picspams
• meaty meta
• case recaps
• comparisons between drama and novel versions of cases
• serious polls
• fanworks rec lists
• translation thoughts or questions
• worldbuilding thoughts
• anything else you can think of!

We’re not doing this in any particular order, so feel free to pounce on your favourites. And cases can be done more than once, so it’s fine if you want to just focus on one small aspect or scene. (We’ll link posts under the case in the list below.)

All degrees of familiarity with canon are welcome, from first-time watchers/readers to those with an unofficial Diploma in Guardian Studies. Come play with us, and roll around in the sleeve-garter-, tooth-necklace-, and cigarette-or-lollipop-strewn glory that is Guardian.

Note: The case list below is based on the drama only because that’s what we’re familiar with, and we understand the novel doesn’t have cases of the week in the same way. For the cases that do have parallels, you’re very welcome to sign up to post about the novel version, or make a comparison between novel and drama! And if there’s another case or case-like part of the novel you’d like to post about, please feel free to claim it!
