nayeBack in February I made a Plot Bunny Farm post where people could comment with prompts and ideas for Guardian fic and art of any kind. Since then, eight of these bunnies have been adopted and turned into nine wonderful pieces of art and writing. ♥
I have rounded them all up here!
Do let me know if I've missed any other creations inspired by these plot bunnies, and I will add them immediately. (Though this only features posted works - I know another two bunnies at least are currently being raised by adoptive creators, which is very exciting.)
There are over twenty plot bunnies still up for adoption - and of course nothing stopping anyone from taking inspiration from comments that already have fills!
Do feel free to keep posting new ideas and bits of inspiration for everyone to share in the post. I will keep adding finished works to the list, and do another post from this comm to the updated list in a couple of months.

Translating chengyu idioms

which are 2 classical Chinese idioms, chengyu.
solo's current translation:
Be indebted to you?
Kneel and kowtow?
- which is accurate, but doesn't convey the *flavor*. I don't know if anything could, in English: ZYL is using elevated, elegant language (sarcastically), quoting the classics as a scholar-gentleman would. Quoting Shakespeare is too dramatic, the King James Version too religious.
Or we could use solo's translations, and put a note up above, like "Quoting" or "Quoting Romance of the Three Kingdoms"?
Chengyu have got to be an ongoing headache in Chinese translation; what kinds of solutions do other translators use?
