How long have you been on Dreamwidth? Where were you before that? I came to Dreamwidth in 2013 when I got into fandom; I did make an AO3 before that, but this is the first ExtraPenguin social media.
What do you post about: Media I've consumed, exchange letters, Guardian. *g* My current fannish obsession and random update posts, basically.
Your other fandoms include: Modao Zushi, various English-language sci-fi novels (e.g. Uplift saga).
Post frequency: I attempt for at least twice a week, though that varies based on how busy work is.
Access policy: I only access lock IRL stuff (maybe 1 post per year?) so I am not likely to give access to you, but you're not missing much, if anything.

Anything else we should know about you? I like stars and space and have a degree in physics. I also drink way truly excessive quantities of tea.

Other points of interest regarding your Guardian fannishness: I loved Zhao Yunlan first but am now equally obsessed with Shen Wei. I avoid actor and behind-the-scenes stuff because I can't compartmentalise and it messes with my delicate suspension of disbelief. I write fic, occasionally make icons, co-mod this comm, and post a weekly poll on important scientific subjects ranging from ZYL's fridge to Shen Wei's sleeve garters.

How long have you been on Dreamwidth? Where were you before that? Previously on LJ. I started crossposting to Dreamwidth during the first great exodus from LJ, and moved my reading list over during the last one (when they updated the TOS).
What do you post about: fandom, writing, media I consume, a little bit of off-line life stuff
Your other fandoms include: I'm monofannish, so it's mostly Guardian, but I do talk about Kdramas a fair bit. Previous main fandoms were White Collar, MCU (Sam/Steve only), and Due South/Canada fandom.
Post frequency: I do a weekly me-and-media update, the weekly Guardian poll, plus random fannish squee/meta, depending on my mood. So anywhere from twice a week to six or seven times?
Access policy: subscribe and unsubscribe whenever you like; you don't have to ask :-)

Anything else we should know about you? As mentioned, I avoid actor/behind-the-scenes stuff. I'm more of a fanworks producer than a consumer, so don't assume I'm keeping up with the latest fic/vids/art/whatever. I believe in live-and-let-live, you-do-you, etc, and I know how to work a back button. That said, anyone who disses the Guardian drama can fight me! ;-P

Fannish about canon, actors, related shows, RPF or some combination of these? Definitely canon. I'm definitely keeping an eye on what the actors are doing work wise, but RPF is awkward making for me. That said, fanvids have made me a solid shipper of Han Chen/He Kaixin, from Memory Lost (Bai Yu) and Royal Sister Returns (Zhu Yilong) respectively, but I have yet to produce anything for that outside my head.
How long have you been in the fandom? Since September, roughly speaking.
Where can we find your fanworks, if any: Don't really have any, aside from the occasional picspam on my tumblr that I uploaded insted of reblogged. Those would be under the tags 'guardian' and 'otp: worth it'.

How long have you been on Dreamwidth? Where were you before that? Came over during the LJ migration, got lured over to tumblr when most of my fandom didn't make the jump. Only recently got back into posting over here since Guardian brought me back.
What do you post about: Media. My cats occasionally. There may or may not be blips of my various crafting, idk yet.
Your other fandoms include: SCI Mystery, various tokusatsu shows - mainly of the Ultraman variety - but not as much as I used to.
Post frequency: Depends on whether or not I have something to post about, I guess?
Access policy: I tend to grant access unless there's a reason not to. That said, this journal was friends only for a while and so most of my previous fannishness is still under flock since changing settings only covers what you post from that point on and I can't be arsed to go unlock everything.

How long have you been in the fandom? I fell into Guardian in October, and never looked back.
Where can we find your fanworks, if any: on AO3! Not that I've finished much, but there are two Guardian fics so far.
Other points of interest regarding your Guardian fannishness:

1. I love Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan both, but Shen Wei just that little bit more.
2. Unlike a lot of people, I liked the drama's ending! I found it very hopeful, not too sad, and I thought the sacrifice theme was great. (china_shop explains it better than me.)
3. I really, really, REALLY love the drama. I haven't fallen this fast, this hard for anything in a long time, and no matter what anyone says, I don't think any part of it is actually bad.

How long have you been on Dreamwidth? Where were you before that? My main fandom base was LJ for a long time. I made a DW as a backup, and then gradually drifted over here over the course of several years. I still crosspost.
What do you post about: fandom and writing, mostly - meta, squee, random thoughts or links, exchanges, wailing and gnashing of teeth when the writing isn't flowing, that sort of thing. *g*
Your other fandoms include: Before I fell into Guardian, my main fandoms were Doctor Who, Grimm and Sherlock Holmes (including various adaptations). Guardian takes first place right now, but those are still in second place. And then there are all my other fandoms, because I'm very multifannish and never really leave anything behind. All of these may make an appearance at times - Highlander, Stargate Atlantis, Coldfire, Harry Potter, or a million others. *g*
Post frequency: ... erratic, I suppose. Sometimes daily, and then sometimes there are large gaps when life happens.
Access policy: I don't post much under lock, so I don't really have a policy.

Languages: My native language is German, though pretty much all my posts are in English. I spent the last few years learning Japanese with moderate success, so obviously now I got into a fandom where that is of absolutely no use to me whatsoever.
Offline location: Germany, with a fair bit of travel to Japan (for fun and concerts) and the US (for in-laws).
Other online locations: I'm jo_lasalle on Twitter and jo_lasalle on AO3. I never got the hang of Tumblr; make of that what you will. My fic, most of which was co-written with solo, also lives at haikuesque.net.

How long have you been in the fandom? I was introduced last August, then watched the bulk of it in October/November, and finally ventured into the fandom properly this January after Christmas vacation.
Where can we find your fanworks, if any: I haven't finished any Guardian stories and the projected ETA for my WIP is sadly and tragically far away, but then, probably on AO3.
Other points of interest regarding your Guardian fannishness: I've been in fandom for a long time, but after ten years of being mono-fannish somewhere else that was its own little cosmos, I still get pretty nervous and feel very n00bish in Guardian! In terms of the show, Shen Wei is totally the character I expected to be my guy, and I did spend about the first half of the show sighing "Oh, Shen Wei!" a lot, but then somewhat to my surprise Zhao Yunlan, who is not at all my usual phenotype, became my surprise!precious. It still surprises me sometimes. *g*

How long have you been on Dreamwidth? Where were you before that? I think I joined pretty early after it was launched?? I had a two year gap of not posting anything before Guardian happened because my pre-Guardian fandom has zero presence on Dreamwidth, and most people I followed despite not being in the same fandom kinda stopped posting. I would be delighted if the general Dreamwidth revival carried, though, as this is much more my medium than the more instant-based fannish venues!
What do you post about: Ooof. At the moment, mostly Guardian? Maybe every once in a while a personal update or mentions of travel? My offline life is touched by politics in a lot of ways, which sometimes means I have strong political views, but also often means that the last thing I want to do in fandom is talk politics, so, that one can go either way? I'm really not sure how my posting habits will develop after this long break. I'd say how it looks now post-2016 might be pretty indicative? IDK?
Your other fandoms include: Akame/KAT-TUN fandom.
Post frequency: See above, I'm not sure. Though even when very active, probably leaning more towards the once or twice a week, not daily side.
Access policy: I don't have a super finely-tuned policy. I access-lock posts when I don't want them to be visible to random surfers-by but don't consider them intensively private. I do have one filter for posts that might touch more on personal issues or more identifying info, where it mostly depends on how well I already know somebody, but since the Guardian-based Dreamwidth revival, I haven't felt the need to use it.

Anything else we should know about you?

I've been active in online fandom since 1999. I wrote in Highlander (slash) and Battlestar Galactica (het) before spending the last ten years in Akame/KAT-TUN/Jpop fandom. Some of the best and closest relationships in my life have happened through betaing, commenting, arguing over who was wrong to leave a band and Oda Nobunaga, and fannish meet-ups at home and abroad, so my love for fandom and fannish interaction runs deep.

I, um, tend not to do brevity. I can't help it, there is always a need for sub-section 2.3 explaining the conditions under which there is an exception to what I laid out under 1.4. It's just how I roll. (I'm sorry! This comment is your warning!)

I've been very excited about the people I've already met through this new fandom, and I'd love to get to know more people and have even more cool discussions!

What do you post about: In the past, I've mostly posted chapters of fanfiction. Going forward, we'll see!
Your other fandoms include: I've been writing in the Akame/KAT-TUN fandom since 2013. Before that, my main fandoms were het pairings for a few different anime/manga series, primarily Inuyasha, Rurouni Kenshin, and Ranma 1/2.

My lack of Chinese means I'm still only caught up to the Wattpad translation, but every day I get more tempted to check out the bits of that have been translated elsewhere past chapter 75. I especially love the reincarnation aspect of the novel, which I totally blame Minekura Kazuya's Saiyuuki for.
Fannish about canon, actors, related shows, RPF or some combination of these? I am completely and helplessly absorbed by feelings about both Bai Yu and Zhu Yilong, though I've been too monofannish to actually watch anything other than random episodes and vids for the actors' other shows. I am waiting for Detective L with bated breath, and hope that it's 1) good and 2) getting subbed.
How long have you been in the fandom? Since August! I can't pinpoint the date I started watching, but I wrote a not-a-rec post for Guardian on August 21st.
Where can we find your fanworks, if any: So far I have 11 Guardian fics on AO3, and lots of Guardian gifs on my Tumblr.
Other points of interest regarding your Guardian fannishness: I struggle with coherency when it comes to meta, so fail at commenting on meta posts. Instead all my takes on the characters and canon come out in fic? The most obvious example is With a Twist of the Kaleidoscope - a massive fix-it/Everybody Lives AU which is nearly two thirds posted now. The 125k draft is complete, but so unpolished it's taking longer to get into posting shape than it did me to write it! (It's also currently on hiatus until April due to fun travel stuff.)

How long have you been on Dreamwidth? Where were you before that? I think I got my LiveJournal in 2004? Migrated over here when Dreamwidth was founded, crossposted for a while and then left LiveJournal entirely after the whole Russian takeover. Before that I had a GeoCities page and was on mailing lists...!
What do you post about: I post a lot about Guardian, but also about random life stuff and cats.
Your other fandoms include: I am painfully monofannish, so none right now. A nice roundup of my fannish history can be found in my introduction post.
Post frequency: I try for 4 posts/week - though some of those posts might end up being a contribution to guardiandaily rather than on my own Dreamwidth. Sometimes I even post more!
Access policy: I lock very little except for the odd post with too much information about my real life.
Anything else we should know about you? I am so overwhelmed by all the amazing Guardian content that has just snowballed in the past few weeks/months that I am still catching up with everything! Please give me a shout if I've missed anything you feel I would enjoy seeing or want me to respond to.

How long have you been in the fandom? I got sucked in when the drama is still airing, and only 4 episodes had been subbed. I remember the crazy uproar when the Big Kunlun Reveal aired in raw Chinese, and then everyone was biting their lips trying not to talk about it openly until the subs caught up, which was hilarious. It makes me so happy that this fandom is still here, and seems to be growing by the day. :D
Where can we find your fanworks, if any: None yet for Guardian, although I'm trying to vid something. We'll see. Somehow I've become more of a vidder than I am a fic writer? More like, I start a lot of both, but I tend to finish vids and post them, where fic tends to linger in draft form forever.

Probably my favorite moment in the show is that exchange between ZYL and SW in episode 13, when ZYL already knows the truth about SW and is trying to get him to admit it, and SW just can't. Is physically incapable of doing so, even when you can see that he's dying to. And SW feels so wretched, and ZYL is so gentle with him even when he's mad as hell.

SW: Did... did I bring you trouble?
ZYL: (laughs) (sighs) If you're trouble, better to take dozens to trouble my whole life.

I love that moment so much, how they treat each other with such love and care even when they're fighting.

Koki was fired in 2013. They discussed disbandment, but had a revival con late in 2013. Taguchi announced he was leaving in late 2015. They discussed disbandment, and had a maybe-goodbye concert in 2016, and a return concert in 2018.

It's been an interesting couple of years. >_>
