Our lovely fandom continues to grow beyond our wildest expectations! Comm membership has just hit 100 98 (and we got impatient)! *shameless champagne and ballooooons*

A few small notes and reminders:

1. The Welcome/Intro post and the Fannish Resources post are still alive and kicking. Feel free to drop in at any time and say hi, or give us all your resource links (even the ones that might seem really obvious)!


2. Lurking is also totally fine, of course! *waves to lurkers*


3. Please tag your posts to the comm so other users can easily find what they’re looking for. In particular, it would be great if you could use the canon: drama and/or canon: novel tags, since it’s not always obvious to us mods which should apply, including for fanart or vids that use drama visuals but draw on novel elements. This is our current list of tags, and we’ll add more type tags as the need arises.

B5! JE! How are Kat-tun doing lately, anyway? I haven't paid a whole lot of attention to JE since NEWS went down to 4 people. >.>

KAT-TUN had decided to beat NEWS and is now down to 3 people. It was very traumatizing. >.< But they are back and seem to have found a new groove!

Kamenashi, Ueda and Nakamaru are left.

Koki was fired in 2013. They discussed disbandment, but had a revival con late in 2013. Taguchi announced he was leaving in late 2015. They discussed disbandment, and had a maybe-goodbye concert in 2016, and a return concert in 2018.

It's been an interesting couple of years. >_>

I remember hearing Koki got fired, I think that's the last I heard. O_O

Hah, interesting. >.> I remember how nerve-wracking it was when Ryo and Yamapi left NEWS and no-one knew if the group could continue. I would not wish that on anyone.

KAT-TUN went on a 2-year hiatus when they got down to 3, but came back last year with really, really good concerts! They've rejigged many of their old 6nin songs so they actually sound good with 3, and Ueda has started taking over the rapping parts (I missed them a lot after Koki got kicked out.) I'm so much looking forward to seeing what they do this year.

So who did you like in NEWS? Yamapi? Ryo-chan?

*Generally he's why I know as much as I do about Kat-tun, seeing as he's friends with Nakamaru.

OMG Massu. Massu cracks me up. Apparently he is responsible for the group outfits now and they are often very... special.

I do like Shige, though if I had to choose a favourite from the current News line-up, it would be Tegoshi for sheer shamelessness (and okay, the voice).

Sadly I don't like their music as much as I like KAT-TUN's so I only follow what friends tell me about them.

*facepalms* Oh dear. His style is... definitely something. But he's my sunshine son so I can deal. XD

Tegoshi has a great voice, especially after he really learned to control it well instead of drowning out the others like when he was younger. *nods*

Heh, we're the opposite. A lot of Kat-tun's music doesn't work for me - aside from the odd one here or there.

I know for a fact that one other member of this comm is a NEWS fan, but she hasn't posted to this meme yet (and I think she's been too busy to post anything else to date). One day I have to bring the two of you together. :)

I'm very excited for the improved subs for Guardian! I know that the existing subbers sacrificed quality for speed during those hectic days of airing.

I don't blame them, and the subs were still good enough to get us all into the fandom. But I really enjoy making them better. :) Just wish I could get them onto youtube, too.

I'm not going to ring any bell, I was a lurker (language was my first barrier and time the second so) but I was for all places and tried to read fics with a dictionary so...

IDK if I want CLAMP to complete the thing now... everything has changed so much since then. I still wish I knew what kind of ending they had planned, though. I was writing a preemptive fix-it, but then KAT-TUN sucked me in adn OMG.
