our poll about the scene discussion posts! All the feedback was incredibly helpful, and we appreciate it greatly. ♥ We've considered your thoughts and suggestions, and we're making a few changes which we hope will give the series a new lease of life and keep it going a while longer.
- Scrapping the template!
The template was intended to be optional, but we totally see that having it there implied expectations about how much detail posts should go into. So our plan is to scrap the template and clearly state that the only requirements for a scene discussion post are a) identifying the scene and where to find it, and b) writing something about the scene. There is no minimum. And you don't have to completely understand a scene or offer a consistent interpretation to make a post about it -- asking questions can be as interesting as answering them!
- No expectation to reply to comments
If you want to dig in to the discussion on your post, that's great! If answering comments isn't your thing, that's okay, too! We're happy to jump in and handle that part.
