sid_guardian is a noticeboard/community for:

• linking Guardian fanworks of all kinds


• linking to Guardian-related news (incl. info about the actors and their other roles) and meta (incl. serious meta, squee, picspams, episode reactions, writing-meta)


• making Guardian recs, and


• making fanworks-finder/rec-finder posts.


• ETA: You can also post content directly to the comm.

Which is to say, it's for letting Guardian fans find each other on Dreamwidth. :)

Please link your Guardian-related posts here! Whether novel or drama, this is the place for it. Don't be shy, and please encourage other Guardian posters to link as well. You can also link to/rec things that have been posted by others.

As the comm develops, we hope to introduce social, discussion and/or prompt posts, but given it's December, we thought we'd start small and manageable.

To kick things off, if you feel like it, tell us a bit about how you ended up in Guardian fandom! Or let us know your favourite character or scene from Guardian, or what your power would be if you were Dixingren.

Hi. *waves* I've only ever watched Japanese shows and one K-drama so this is my first C-drama. And the reason I'm here is cause of Tinny's icons. :3

I'm mostly an icon maker and I draw fanarts,but so far I've not done any Guardian fanarts,I'm sure it's gonna come to me when I finish the show. I've already gotten some spoilers because google(T_T) and I'm totally setting myself up for heartbreak,aren't I?But also,I just adore this show so much,the flirtiness makes me melt.
Looking forward to reading some fics when I finish the show and seeing more fans around. :D

Ha! Opinion is divided? I think of it as hopeful heartbreak rather than torn-to-shreds heartbreak, so... *says no more*

I watched a bit of 'Voice' because it's crime related and someone recommended it to me in RL. Actually,I didn't even watch it fully. :3 Cause I used to watch it on kissasian.com but they shut down that site,so I pretty much have no idea where to stream Asian shows.I got lucky with Guardian because it's on YT!

I haven't come across 'Voice' -- I mostly watch romantic or romance-adjacent dramas. :-)

I don't know about other online streaming, but Netflix has quite a few Asian dramas. I tend to download ones I can't find there, because none of the US streaming sites ever worked for me here (in the not-US). (Voice is available for download here, btw, if you want it. Ignore the summary, which seems to be for something else entirely.)

But for the record, if you were linking to something like that on the comm, you'd either a) comment on the Resources post, or b) make a new post using the "canon: drama" and "type: resources" tags. :-)

Heartbreak-wise, as china_shop says, opinions are divided, but for me it was very much a "smiling through tears" hopeful ending.

Aaahh!!I'm happy to be on the dark side?I guess! Lol!
That's the fun part of fandom I guess.I've been very active in the Harry Potter community writing,drawing and all for a few years and needed a change and my main OTP was basically two dead characters so fandom is what's kept it all alive, so I guess, I can hope for something like that here,haha!

I am not sure I have ever recruited anyone into a fandom through my icons before, and it makes me so happy! Of course the show is so good it doesn't need much enticing to drag everyone into it. :D And your icons are great, too, btw. I love using this one.

And now your comment is already over half a year old, but I know you're still in the fandom, which is great. (In fact, barely anyone has actually left the fandom. It feels like all the active fans I've come to know over the past year are still active. That is amazing.)

Haha!!Loool!This bingo is making us do a lot of things! If you must know,I ended up watching HIStory3 in like two and a half days because of your icons and your gushing about it! :D
