Guardian fandom friending meme!!!

Our lovely fandom continues to grow beyond our wildest expectations! Comm membership has just hit ~~100~~ 98 (and we got impatient)! *shameless champagne and ballooooons*

A few small notes and reminders:

The Welcome/Intro post and the Fannish Resources post are still alive and kicking. Feel free to drop in at any time and say hi, or give us all your resource links (even the ones that might seem really obvious)!

Guardian-specific stuff
Drama, novel or both? Both, though I am very much more inclined for the drama. There are things I like better on one and more on the other. But for instance, I prefer drama Shen Wei over novel Shen Wei. But I haven't read the full novel as I'm waiting for the kind soul that is translating it ^^ Somehow I doubt I will change my mind, though, but we'll see.
Fannish about canon, actors, related shows, RPF or some combination of these? Canon. I did fall in love both Zhu Yilong and Bai Yu and have been watching/scavenging their other past dramas. Not RPF at the moment, though I do love their interactions off-screen.
How long have you been in the fandom? Although I had seen images and spoilers on Tumblr since Summer 2018, I consider the official date to be November when

powwie , instead of a Pokemon movie, lolol.
Where can we find your fanworks, if any: very very rarely I post fanfic. You can find it both at my journal or at AO3 (but I haven't written since White Collar and that was... 7 years ago) . I haven't written any Guardian fanfic yet, though plot bunnies wearing glasses and sleeve garters and lollipops have been nagging me... (and also a Story of Minglan one been brewing...)
Other points of interest regarding your Guardian fannishness: I love when a show captures my heart before I even realize what has happened ^^ And this show was one of them. I also love to watch the music videos done for Guardian. There are works of art out there <3

Posting habits
How long have you been on Dreamwidth? Where were you before that? I've been on Dreamwidth just a few months. I was and still am on LJ. I joined Dreamwidth to be able to follow this Comm and interact more easily with the fans here ^^
What do you post about: It varies a lot. These past few years it has been about KAT-TUN (Japanase idol/boy band), since these guys took over my fandom life for the past 5 years. But I do post occasionally about real life, and work woes. Though the last two posts were sort of Guardian related. Well, one was Guardian related and it was about me falling in love with this show and spreading the love (AKA feeble attempt at trying to convince other people to join the bandwagon). The latest post a Challenge between Zhu YiLong and Kamenashi Kazuya (my bias in KAT-TUN) done in partnership with Powwie ^^ It was a ton of fun! You're welcome to come see it if you'd like, even if you don't know who Kame is you can try and see if you see the similarities with Zhu Yilong and tell me what you think ;P Or just stare at the pretty!
Your other fandoms include: I have a lot, but I tend to focus on one at a time lol. But KAT-TUN is the one I'm more focused on at the moment and Guardian of course. But ones that I still hold dear to my heart are Highlander (it will forever have a special place), Stargate SG-1, White Collar. These three were the ones I was mostly active. And Daredevil more recently.
Post frequency: Very very very rarely and random. Sorry.

Anything else we should know about you? I am by default a lurker, lol. I try and comment on posts, but sometimes brain doesn't cooperate into making a cohesive and comprehensible text out of my thoughts, so I end up reading all of people's comments and just nodding along lolol. Then I realize most people have said what I was meaning to say and end up not posting a comment ^^'

I have so many scenes and I'm only now doing a 1st rewatch so I may have a lot of other scenes that are now escaping me but some that come to mind are these:

This whole scene when Zhao Yunlan finds out about what was the cost of Shen Wei using the Dial to cure Zhao Yunlan's eyes... it just.... *holds heart*

And on a more lighter note, this whole episode of the changed personalities cracked me up! The effort these guys made not to laugh....

Thanks! That smile on Shen Wei when he says that he's used to being hurt/to pain breaks my heart (how he thinks that will somehow reassure Zhao Yunlan not to worry T_T). That whole scene is fantastically angsty

And I so love that Guardian can do crack funny so well as the angsty painful scenes ^^

LOL *high fives you* Hello fellow lurker! Yes, tumblr was a bit of a set back for me on interacting too. I was always kind of a lurker on LJ but slowly I started interacting and commenting and things were actually progressing until I fell into tumblr... I need to come off of my shell again. But slowly :P

That's such a great scene--how Shen Wei is trying to pass off being hurt as no big deal, and ZYL won't let him, like "no, Shen Wei, your well being matters to me, why won't you just let me help you." *cries*

I KNOW right?? How can Shen Wei just think that him being used to getting hurt is OK, and that will ease Zhao's concern? And that forced smile isn't helping anything.... *cries with you*

That scene is one of many that just break my heart. Shen Wei's smile, trying to reassure Zhao that he's ok because he's used to pain and injuries... How is that supposed to ease anyone's heart? And Zhao's frustration and confusion at why She Wei would do that for him... gaahhhh all the angst (nomnomnom)
