Our lovely fandom continues to grow beyond our wildest expectations! Comm membership has just hit 100 98 (and we got impatient)! *shameless champagne and ballooooons*

A few small notes and reminders:

1. The Welcome/Intro post and the Fannish Resources post are still alive and kicking. Feel free to drop in at any time and say hi, or give us all your resource links (even the ones that might seem really obvious)!


2. Lurking is also totally fine, of course! *waves to lurkers*


3. Please tag your posts to the comm so other users can easily find what they’re looking for. In particular, it would be great if you could use the canon: drama and/or canon: novel tags, since it’s not always obvious to us mods which should apply, including for fanart or vids that use drama visuals but draw on novel elements. This is our current list of tags, and we’ll add more type tags as the need arises.

Guardian-specific stuff
Drama, novel or both? Drama mainly - so much of it captured my heart! I haven't read the novel (yet)
Fannish about canon, actors, related shows, RPF or some combination of these? Definitely about canon, have developed a soft spot for the actors, have not yet dipped my toes into related shows and would be interested in RPF...so basically, show is my main focus but interested in the whole combination?
How long have you been in the fandom? This fandom since.. January?
Where can we find your fanworks, if any: mumble mumble due to my RL job I don't post fanworks on this account but it does seem likely that any fic that happens will appear on another account subscribed to this com...
Other points of interest regarding your Guardian fannishness: I am surprised and delighted at how strongly this fandom has grabbed me, and a lot of that is way they manage to hit my happy buttons with the OTP-ness of weilan. I'm enjoying the discussions, and activity and flail and am happy to have another fandom to play in. I've also done a lot of beta-ing, so if that would help anyone out, let me know!

Posting habits
How long have you been on Dreamwidth? Where were you before that? Ahhhh..... a long time? I think I signed up after the second LJ strikethrough drama? I think i signed up on insanejournal after the first one... but I have really treated it as a backup for my fairly lowkey low activity LJ accounts.
What do you post about: I tend to post comments TBH, I don't really treat it as a journal..that may change, we shall see.
Your other fandoms include: Argh, how long do we have for this? Most recently active in terms of fandom-ing would be JE/jpop KAT-TUN, Jin Akanishi, NEWS (with some fic preferences of akame and koyashige). In terms of fandoms I have been in and still have soft spots for: started last millenium in X-Files, Star Wars, Star Trek, Babylon 5, Labyrinth, Buffy, Doctor Who, Marvel Movies, animes like harutoki, kyou kara maoh, saiyuki, and a lot of other stuff that I happily flail over. Looking forward to the new dramas from our Guardian guys because they look great, and also Good Omens looks fantastic. Also Musical theatre is always going to be a place I love.
Post frequency: Comments... pretty regular, entries.....sporadic at best!
Access policy: Open to friending, and will happily friend back, I don't use it as a journal so I don't really need to flock anything?

Anything else we should know about you? I love fic, I love OTPs, I love pandas, and history and knitting. I can't draw to save my life! Also, karaoke is amazing, and if you come to Tokyo, we should go?

I love a lot of the scenes, and this one is one of my all time faves - the Shen Wei finds Zhao Yunlan on the floor, and manages to intimidate him with a look, clutches him when he bleeds, angrily strikes a ladder and then scrubs his handkerchief over his face..all without a word.

Agreed. I squealed out loud in delight the first time I saw it. (and may still do on subsequent views!) It's just perfect from the agressive swoop in and mop to Zhao's swatting grab at it to stop.

Hiii! Yes indeed wherever I am there shall be NEWSness! My boys are Koyashige, but way back in the days of 6nin I may have carried a Massu uchiwa into my first news concert! Ahhhh space scifi is always a fabulous thing to have as well :)

Massu is my sunshine son, even if his fashion choices are a bit blinding. >.> Are Koyashige as Koyashige as they ever were? I've been out of JE fandom for a while and keep getting my mind blown by the revelations coming at me here. XD

That is such a lovely scene. How dare Zhao Yunlan be so careless with his health when he is so precious!!! And I love how this is balanced by Zhao Yunlan later flipping his lid when he finds out what Shen Wei did to heal his eyses... they are THE SAME in reckless self-sacrificing, those two. :-)

they really are precious and I love how invested they get in the other one being hurt (who can forget ZYL wanting to take Shen Wei to the hospital after the cut finger on the trap scene!) but hey self sacrifice is perfectly fine. #flail

BAE is gonna be mad....and then the way he gets huffy after handkerchief application....love them both. Pandas are adorable, and I do wish I had more time for knitting, but I deal with what I can get done!
