Our lovely fandom continues to grow beyond our wildest expectations! Comm membership has just hit 100 98 (and we got impatient)! *shameless champagne and ballooooons*

A few small notes and reminders:

1. The Welcome/Intro post and the Fannish Resources post are still alive and kicking. Feel free to drop in at any time and say hi, or give us all your resource links (even the ones that might seem really obvious)!

In particular, it would be great if you could use the canon: drama and/or canon: novel tags, since it’s not always obvious to us mods which should apply, including for fanart or vids that use drama visuals but draw on novel elements. Guardian-specific stuff
Drama, novel or both? Drama! I love it, I love Zhu Yilong and Bai Yu, and everything they bring to it. I love the SID cast, and the time loop of love, and magic aliens, and all of it.
Fannish about canon, actors, related shows, RPF or some combination of these? Mostly canon, a little bit of the actors, a little bit of RPF feels.
How long have you been in the fandom? Since last year, pulled in somewhere around episode 30. For a long time thought I didn't dare write it when I didn't know anything about China- but then there was a pinch hit for Yuletide, and now I can't stop. XD

Other points of interest regarding your Guardian fannishness:
Hurt/comfort is my number one trope, so I basically rolled in Guardian canon like catnip and then went looking to find/make more! Episode 23 is one of the best things my id has seen onscreen. I love Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan both, and I haven't had OTP feels so strongly in YEARS. I also love Ye Zun more than the people-eating bastard probably deserves. XD I dream of writing fixit fic for all three of them.

OMG that lifting interaction is basically my top behind-the-scenes interaction for those two dorks. And I think I've re-watched the kitchen scene in episode 23 pretty much every day since it aired. I love it so much. And eep, you're a fan of Takarazuka too! What's their favourite show of yours? Mine is Elisabeth. :D I've gone ahead and friended you!

I love Elisabeth! There was a clip of Der Tod and Rudolf's Yami ga Hirogaru (Cosmos 1998 I think? long since pulled from Youtube) that was my gateway song to being seriously interested in finding out more about Takarazuka.

My favourite is Scarlet Pimpernel- I loved the story already, book and 1982 movie both, but the Takarazuka version is amazing- I love different things every time a new troupe does it.

And yesss I love how strong- and how controlled- Zhu Yilong is, how competitive but also impressed Bai Yu is, his departing wail about handsomeness and power and 'how can I live in this world' while happily going off to hang out with Long-ge some more ♥

Elisabeth was my gateway into Takarazuka too! And omg, Scarlet Pimpernel is fantastic. I saw the Star Troupe live in 2008, and have forever regretted not buying the DVD while I was there.

My favourite part about Bai Yu and Zhu Yilong is how they sometimes drive each other insane, Bai Yu with his Mao Houer memes, and Zhu Yilong with his shameless attempts at getting Bai Yu to answer all his interview questions - but they never get all that mad and end up indulging the other anyway.

Hurt/comfort!! OMG, I am so there with you. H/C is my favorite thing EVER. I agree Episode 23 was everything I could have asked for and more. I'm sure you will also understand how excited I was for the torture porn in the final eps. Hurt!SW, Hurt!ZYL. Shen Wei bloody and lying on the ground and brokenly moaning ZYL's name. Ugh--after I finished the show, I had to immediately write some fluffier h/c. The canon is just filled with either actual h/c moments or the potential for them.

And oh, Aubrey-Maturin--I love them too!

Yes! ♥ There's so many good moments, I have so many things that want ficcing better -- and yes, the ending eps, omg. The first time around it hurt too much, but I want to go back and properly comfort all the hurts they're collecting. Shen Wei bleeds so beautifully.

And I love Ye Zun, too and would read a hundred of fixit fics. So you definitely should write it. :)

Yeah, that's pretty much me, too. Guardian really speaks to that, and to my competence kink. What a show!

I saw the Takarazuka Ruroni Kenshin a few years ago and enjoyed it! Would go more often if I lived in Japan.

Hi! I know I'm replying to a comment from like two years ago, but I wasn't sure where else best to say "I hope it's okay if I add you!"

We seem to have a number of things in common (LotR, ACD Holmes, and Star Trek TOS, as well as Guardian-with-heavy-focus-on-h/c-elements), and I loved your Trick-or-Treat fic prompts and the story you wrote for me.
