Our lovely fandom continues to grow beyond our wildest expectations! Comm membership has just hit 100 98 (and we got impatient)! *shameless champagne and ballooooons*

A few small notes and reminders:

1. The Welcome/Intro post and the Fannish Resources post are still alive and kicking. Feel free to drop in at any time and say hi, or give us all your resource links (even the ones that might seem really obvious)!


2. Lurking is also totally fine, of course! *waves to lurkers*


3. Please tag your posts to the comm so other users can easily find what they’re looking for. In particular, it would be great if you could use the canon: drama and/or canon: novel tags, since it’s not always obvious to us mods which should apply, including for fanart or vids that use drama visuals but draw on novel elements. This is our current list of tags, and we’ll add more type tags as the need arises.

Guardian-specific stuff
Drama, novel or both? Very much both. The novelverse version of the Shen Wei/Zhao Yunlan relationship is more to my tastes and I love the religious backstory and imagery. But dramaverse gave me Ye Zun, the Alliance war backstory, and Dixing, as well as many pretty things and people to look at. So, both. I've only written dramaverse so far.

How long have you been in the fandom? Since May, more or less
Where can we find your fanworks, if any: My fics are on AO3 and I have meta here on dreamwidth.
Other points of interest regarding your Guardian fannishness: I have very strong feelings about Ye Zun. I also like Zhao Xinci probably more than canon wants me to.

Posting habits erratic
How long have you been on Dreamwidth? Where were you before that? I've been using this account for about a year. I had another on livejournal before that. I've been in online fandom on and off for about 20 years.
What do you post about: Guardian, my other fandoms, RL posts under access lock
Your other fandoms include: Otome novels, especially Hakuouki and Samurai Love Ballad.
Post frequency: irregular, usually a few times a month
Access policy: I'm still figuring this out. I post personal things under access lock, so normally I give access to people who I'm having personal conversations with, or after I've known someone a while.

Anything else we should know about you? I like to write long meta and short fics.

From chapter 31 of the novel, Shen Wei as a hungry ghost in love:

In the dim light of the night, he keeps watching Zhao Yunlan quietly, like he wants to continue til sunrise. Shen Wei has restrained himself for far too long. He can't help but indulge in desire. He lays close to Zhao Yunlan, and his thoughts come gushing out.

He wants to extend his hands and embrace that warm body; kiss his eyes, hair and lips, taste and devour him in whole, and possess his everything.

Shen Wei’s breathing trembles; his desire and longing are that of a dying person longing for a hot bowl of soup in the freezing cold. But he doesn't move, it's as if... he is satisfied just from having imagining it.
