linking Guardian fanworks of all kinds

linking to Guardian-related news (incl. info about the actors and their other roles) and meta (incl. serious meta, squee, picspams, episode reactions, writing-meta)

making Guardian recs, and

making fanworks-finder/rec-finder posts.

Which is to say, it's for letting Guardian fans find each other on Dreamwidth. :)

As the comm develops, we hope to introduce social, discussion and/or prompt posts, but given it's December, we thought we'd start small and manageable.

To kick things off, if you feel like it, tell us a bit about how you ended up in Guardian fandom! Or let us know your favourite character or scene from Guardian, or what your power would be if you were Dixingren.

Hullo! I'm Veet or Bellamy. Just watched the show and then read the books and am watching the show again (after devouring as much ChuGuo fanfic as possible). Joined DreamWidth to keep an eye on the Guardian Wishlist and hopefully participate! It's been at least ten years since I've been on one of these journaling sites. I'd love some recommendations for icon makers I can follow until I decide to start making my own again.

I've been into Danmei since about 2020 when I stumbled across the Heaven Official's Blessing donghau and have been slowly finding new ones ever since. Most of my fanworks are for MDZS so far, but I'm excited to jump in here as much as my chronic illness and disability allow. I've got far too many WIPs already but am going to add more, LOL

Anyway, looking forward to meeting you all!

I think most iconmakers have stopped regularly making many Guardian icons, but if you'd like recs,

tinny and

abyss_valkyrie have made a lot of excellent ones. You can also find a bunch through the icon tag here on the comm. (

tinny has changed her hosting site at one point, so some of the links on the comm may be broken, but the ones on her journal should work.)

I found the community tag for picspams and I'm *itching* to start icon making but alas, I must be ready to drive eight hours in the morning.

I'll see what I can do about coming to the rewatch! I have a hard time remembering that things are happening, LOL. I am very bad with deadlines (because finishing works is hard when the chronic illness hits) but I really really want to do some for the wishlist. If nothing else I will make some requests and hopefully inspire some others to make good stuff!

Our rewatches aren't real-time, so you can just dip in and out of the discussion whenever you feel like it. You don't even have to rewatch the half-episode, if you don't want to. (But no pressure!! :-)
