Welcome to SID Guardian!

Hi, and welcome to SID Guardian!
- linking Guardian fanworks of all kinds
- linking to Guardian-related news (incl. info about the actors and their other roles) and meta (incl. serious meta, squee, picspams, episode reactions, writing-meta)
- making Guardian recs, and
- making fanworks-finder/rec-finder posts.
- ETA: You can also post content directly to the comm.
Which is to say, it's for letting Guardian fans find each other on Dreamwidth. :)
Please link your Guardian-related posts here! Whether novel or drama, this is the place for it. Don't be shy, and please encourage other Guardian posters to link as well. You can also link to/rec things that have been posted by others.
As the comm develops, we hope to introduce social, discussion and/or prompt posts, but given it's December, we thought we'd start small and manageable.
To kick things off, if you feel like it, tell us a bit about how you ended up in Guardian fandom! Or let us know your favourite character or scene from Guardian, or what your power would be if you were Dixingren.
And remember, there's no tension that can’t be relieved with a lollipop. And if there is, try two lollipops.

(I feel like Guo Changcheng. Yeah, ok. I'll be Guo Changcheng, just quietly writing things in a book and doing things and then trembling whenever anyone talks to me.)
I mostly low-key lurk on tumblr, and have no idea how dreamwidth works yet. When I had an LJ i posted anonymously to a kmeme
a list of things I do
- write fic as foxghost on ao3
but not for this fandom okONLY this short thing on my PF and if i write more they'll probably go on here and PF- draw fanart but I haven't for this fandom yet (foxgh0st on dA)
- translate things and write the occasional meta. (linked off the sidebar of my tumblog, @foxghost)
- translate fanvids. So far, 151 of them.
- answer any naming / cultural question that end up in my msg/inbox on tumblr
I didn't watch a lot of c-drama before Guardian, since I came from a traditional-chinese-reading background, so i mostly read danmei novels (i love 大風颳過!) and watched the occasional TW or HK thing. But Guardian --- which got recced to me by a youtube algorithm bc taiwanese drama obsession, probably --- made me learn how to read simplified. And now that i've opened that door it's all over for me.
Currently making my way through SCI謎案集 (it is so good actually) and all four of the completed books.

*uses appropriate icon* (I love Guo Changcheng! He's one of my favourites, along with pretty much everyone else. ;-)

Also, thank you for answering questions! That's incredibly useful in this fandom. :)

I've only just started reading some cnovel translations, because - unsurprisingly - they tend to come up in conversation in this fandom a lot. ;-) I'm enjoying several of them very much! In terms of Guardian, you're mostly focussed on the novel as well, then?
I've taken the liberty of following you on PF, BTW - I only just arrived there and don't really know where anyone is or what anyone is doing, so it makes me so happy when I find someone! :-)

I'm mostly focused on the novel, but I've taken show-questions (I've only watched the show once through but I've read the book twice) but I find it hard to keep the plot coherent in my head... I'll probably end up backing up all my meta and novel translations over here, since you know, TUMBLR.
TBH loving PF, it is pretty, but they're having trouble handling the new traffic. /happy to found, happy to find you <3

大風颳過
Ooooh, danmei recs! Does it happen to have an English name, and maybe a translation? If not, a link to a free Chinese version would also be great?
I'm currently reading three danmei novels at a time, since the translations are so slow, one is not enough. :D

If you want the Chinese versions, 大風颳過 publishes on jjwxc, and both of the above books 桃花債 and 又一春 are there and all the chapters are unlocked, you don't need V to read them.

I have heard of Peach Blossom Debt, but not the other one. Thank you for the links! <3
