sid_guardian is a noticeboard/community for:

• linking Guardian fanworks of all kinds


• linking to Guardian-related news (incl. info about the actors and their other roles) and meta (incl. serious meta, squee, picspams, episode reactions, writing-meta)


• making Guardian recs, and


• making fanworks-finder/rec-finder posts.


• ETA: You can also post content directly to the comm.

Which is to say, it's for letting Guardian fans find each other on Dreamwidth. :)

As the comm develops, we hope to introduce social, discussion and/or prompt posts, but given it's December, we thought we'd start small and manageable.

To kick things off, if you feel like it, tell us a bit about how you ended up in Guardian fandom! Or let us know your favourite character or scene from Guardian, or what your power would be if you were Dixingren.

I'm mostly here for the light, fun stuff and the found family, too -- and Zhao Yunlan is also my fav. *high fives you*

When I'm upset, I tend to write fic, which is how I've ended up with what is now coming up to 40k words of a finale fix-it.

Oh wow! That's both an excellent response to upsetting endings (yay fix-its!), and a great word count! *g*

It's become a bit of a habit. xD With Guardian, it wasn't just the ending, it's also the world building--I don't need much in terms of world building to be satisfied, but the drama leaves so many questions unanswered, and even some fairly obvious questions unasked, that I just wanted to see what I could come up with to plug at least some of the holes. The character dynamics on that show are so much fun; I just wanted to build myself a world around them that holds at least a little bit of water. I hope I succeeded!

Yeah, I find it very fertile ground to play in too. I love that level of world-building, where there's plenty sketched out but still lots of room to play. :-D

There's an index of past posts here (all still open, if you want to jump in) and a claims post for round four.
