This is very exciting, thanks for starting the comm!

I first heard about Guardian from the wonderful AvenueX's first video about it, but I didn't start watching until a friend watched the first episode and told me that it had an excellent meet cute. Then I spent the rest of August (and most of the time since, frankly) obsessed with it!

Favourite scene is tough because there are so many to choose from, but I'm a big h/c fan, so I remember first watching the whole stomach ache/taxi/putting to bed/ZYL wakes up the next morning and SW's still there scene with a sort of stunned glee...

Other than our two leads obviously, I'm a big fan of Da Qing! I find him and Zhao Yunlan being beffies super cute, and I love the way they're sort of casually affectionate with each other and also how much Da Qing takes the piss out of him for being obsessed with Shen Wei. I also think Li Wei does a really good job of playing the physicality of a man who's a cat without it ever being cheesy.

I also like Zhu Hong a lot, and wish she could have got a slightly better plot line than being hopelessly in love with ZYL.

And yes, I really love Da Qing's little feline gestures and moments, too. <3

I adore it, too. EVERYTHING about it - there's so much in there. But I have a particular fondness for that jump ZYL does when he wakes up and finds Shen Wei sitting there watching. :D

YES! The physicality of it is really impressive, and the way ZYL and Da Qing interact - the way they're all up in each other's personal space without it ever reading as slashy. (Well, to me, anyway.) It's very cool!

I really love the whole team, and I appreciate what they did with Zhu Hong's unrequited love - the way they use it to highlight the connection between ZYL and Shen Wei - but yeah, I definitely wish she'd had more to do on her own beyond that.

I agree so much with everything you say! I can't really pick any one favorite scene, but the stomach ache and everything that follows is definitely right up there for so many reasons.

Da Qing and his relationship with Yunlan is so adorable! That scene where he snuggles down half on top of Yunlan like the cat he is. ;-)

Zhu Hong could have gotten over her crush sooner, I agree entirely - that way there would have been more time to develop her into the awesome leader that she becomes.

So cute! I find writing ZYL and Da Qing interacting in fic so fun, whether he's in human form or cat form. And one of my favourite bits from the novel is where we find out that permanently cat!Da Qing has a Weibo account with a gazillion followers :D

Yeah, I agree about Zhu Hong. She is a pretty cool character and the actress has some charisma. It was disappointing that so far at least she's been reduced to woman with a crush. Perhaps they felt the need to get some het romance in there, even though it really only serves to highlight weilan?

That ep is my fav so far, too. "Stunned glee" was the look on my face throughout that entire sequence. :D

She had the potential to be so great (and often is!), I just wish she'd had more to do that didn't involve obsessing over Yunlan.

I kind of want a fix-it future where she gets over ZYL and she and Shen Wei end up as surprising beffies. She can take him shopping and try and fix his terrible taste in leisure wear!
