sid_guardian is a noticeboard/community for:- linking Guardian fanworks of all kinds

I love Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan both (individually & together), I love the team/found family, I love the details & world-building.
I have too many favorite scenes! But one I just rewatched last night is a very small moment but in episode 14 when Deputy Minister Guo invites Zhao Yunlan to dinner and Shen Wei sort of has this sidelook to ZYL and says he'll come too, oh and ZYL's hand is on his shoulder and when they leave he slides it across. There is so much in episode 14 that I love (driving to the Inspectorate scene!) but this small moment had such a nice couple vibe.

That is a delightful scene, yes! In an episode full of delightful stuff. I love how they just agree that Shen Wei will come along, without consulting the person issuing the invitation. *g*

I am so deep into episodes 14 and 15 at the moment -- so much changes between the two of them so quickly, you know? And yessssss, I love that scene! That Zhao Yunlan has basically decided they're inseparable from now on, and Shen Wei just goes with it, because of course he does. :D :D :D
I love the team/found family, I love the details & world-building.

Same here - my rewatch has slowed down because I keep going back to those episodes and noticing more things. Little details, little looks. Everything! Ahhhh.
I think the thing that grabs me about that tiny moment is that Shen Wei goes with it completely willingly. His body language isn't as uptight, there's no momentary look of resistance, nothing to suggest he was going to decline or be ambiguous about whether he'd go. And a few episodes earlier, I think we would've gotten at least one of those things. Or he just would've made an excuse about being too busy. I just really love it because to me this is a moment where Shen Wei accepts they are now inseparable and reacts naturally to it. ^__^
I know there will be at least one rewatch in my future just for team & found family because there is so much there! But right now I'm trapped in the OTP zone. :D

I know exactly what you mean! I keep writing ep-related fic to try to process all my thoughts and feelings about those eps, and of course, that just slows my rewatch down even more. *g*
