Ahaha, this is great :D

Weilan first date opinions: They have plans to do something nice and Romantic but what really ends up happening is that they get caught up in some shenanigans and end up eating take-out on Zhao Yunlan's couch and snuggling together. Zhao Yunlan loudly complains that this doesn't count, but that's because he likes the drama of being able to have another first date with Shen Wei. Shen Wei is absolutely fine with "going on a date" really turning out to be "what we were already doing but with more Significance".

Also I feel like what CSZ does on his days off really depends on what period of time we're talking about -- working for the Envoy is obviously what he'd do immediately after he arrived in Dragon City, but I'd hope that by the end of canon he's just Having Fun and doing things he enjoys. :)

Every single answer that's "Shen Wei uses portals" is an absolute delight, especially the concept of using mini-portals to grab things from his kitchen while cooking in Zhao Yunlan's. :)

(I want him to get a pet now, too; he'd probably want to get a cat, since they're more independent, but I feel like GCC would pick up a stray dog and CSZ wouldn't be able to resist a scruffy mutt he'd cleaned mud off and maybe bandaged a bit...)

Maybe, to start with, Changcheng genuinely asks because he needs a partner to go to whatever-the-thing-is, and he doesn't have anyone else to ask... but after a while, when he realises Chu-ge keeps saying yes, he starts thinking of things Chu-ge might like -- things he wouldn't have been able to see in Dixing -- and taking him out for both their sake's. *smishes them*

Love the mention in the comments of Chu Shuzhi liking to garden, I really enjoy the idea of him coming up with vegetables (Changcheng cooks them, and when there are too many to cook they bring them in to the SID, and when there are still too many they go to a Dixingren soup kitchen) and flowers, which he brings inside and they go in vases all over the house.

Shen Wei in the rain: almost certainly "it's worth it," but I also wonder if he doesn't go away inside his head for a while to standing guard in the rain some time ten thousand years ago in the middle of a war.

Also, I am firmly convinced that Shen Wei walks to work. He likes the chance to spend time under the sky.

Ha, maybe? I feel like if he were standing guard, he might take some measures to stop himself being soaked through, though. It's not good practice to have your sentries be uncomfortable for long periods of time, surely?

Also, I am firmly convinced that Shen Wei walks to work. He likes the chance to spend time under the sky.

I love the idea of him walking and agree about the sky, but I have this impression the new apartment is inconveniently far from campus. Wasn't that mentioned when he first looked at it? Maybe he walks half an hour along the river and then gets a taxi or tram for the final leg to the university?

I had a surprisingly hard time thinking of an actual Weilan date - they behave like everything they do is basically a date already. I feel like they might try a bit of 'traditional' date stuff but eventually conclude that, really, it's not necessary to make such a fuss of hanging out, and scheduling is a pain in the ass when you're two very busy people with unpredictable schedules. Anyway, I think their first date would be a walk in the park so Shen Wei can enjoy the sun, and Shen Wei probably brings some food so it turns into an impromptu picnic eventually.

Ha, so true. Zhao Yunlan is always in relationship mode, whether they're outside Ye Huo's house in the middle of hostage negotiations or walking down the street to confront the Crows. I feel like Shen Wei might compartmentalise more, if not for that.

I feel like they might try a bit of 'traditional' date stuff but eventually conclude that, really, it's not necessary to make such a fuss of hanging out, and scheduling is a pain in the ass when you're two very busy people with unpredictable schedules.

Honestly, that's my inclination, too. Though they might eat out, occasionally, and if they do, I'm sure one or other of them wouldn't pass up the opportunity to take the other somewhere they'd like.
