People really like the Shen Wei options (I am people :D :D), but popcorn is doing pretty great too. :D
"I did a scene discussion post for that. /usual disclaimer, no obligation :D"
Thaaaaaank you, THESE POSTS = ♡♡♡! *giggles at "Lin Jing, being corporeal"* :D
"The last pic is from ep 15, 34:00ish, when they're strategising about how to fool the special commissioner coming to inspect them (who they don't yet know is Zhao Xinci)."
Yay, thank you! :D :D Now that I rewatched it, I'm voting for this scene for "other" too. :D
"Though I imagine the SID would deal with a troublesome gold ring pretty promptly. They know where there's a volcano. ;-D"
LOLOLOL! ♡ Is a regular non-evil volcano enough, or is this one an evil volcano? ;D

Ha, I should have allowed more than one "other" option. ;D

Oh, ha, I hadn't even considered that Mt Doom is a special volcano. I was just thinking "the only volcano mentioned in Middle Earth," and Dixing is well-equipped like that. But of course there's the whole "taking it back to where it was forged" aspect, hm. Maybe the volcanoes are linked on a quantum level?

True! Oh, but what if it's like the Hallows, and it just ~mysteriously turns up places~? /o\
ETA: I feel like time travel technology know-how was lost in the mists of time. But I could be completely wrong. Maybe Haixing is part of a space empire!

Oh yep, when the ring wants to be found by someone, it will be found, the vacuum of space is probably not gonna stop it after all. D: xD
(I think they may have space travel in the present too, without the need to mention it - it wouldn't be relevant to the SID or to any regular people after all, and even the scientists we know are not involved in any space-travel-relevant fields?)

(My headcanon is that after the spaceship came to Haixing back then, there was no further space travel. Possibly the ship wasn't all that spaceworthy any more when it arrived, and everyone settled on Haixing knowing they weren't going to be leaving again. Also possibly Dixing still has the knowledge of how to make spaceships, if not the infrastructure to actually do so - though that knowledge might have been lost with the meteor.)

You know, it never even occurred to me that they might have space travel in the present!
Me neither. What if a Dixingren with uncontrolled powers stowed away on a Haixing spaceship??!

I guess it depends if you mean space travel like we have space travel (the ISS and occasional trips to the moon) or space travel like Star Trek, in which case I feel like part of the SID's role in defending humanity from Dixingren, at the start of the show, would have had to include securing the spaceports, etc.
If humanity had colonised the stars, would Ye Zun have stopped at consuming just one small planet?

I can't resist this thread of speculation, lolol - how much CAN Ye Zun eat? :D :D Or maybe he would choose to only eat Haixing because that's the planet that wronged him. xD

Ah, right. As long as the launch sites are well away from Dragon City, it probably wouldn't affect much then. ;D

Would he even know about the colonised planets? Maybe Dixing is kept in the figurative dark as well as the literal??
no subject
Oh, that would be very possible, yes!
(I kinda went from 'does eating yin energy give novel!Zhu Hong a stomach ache', and started wondering if eating vast amounts of space vacuum would give Ye Zun one. xD xD)

Ha! It might! (I wonder what eating the world would have done to him if SW hadn't blown him up...)

I always wondered where he would go afterwards tho, lol.
LOLOL! Maybe after a bit of digestion he'd vomit up a whole new virgin planet? /o\

Oh, definitely no people. If he wants to get rid of betrayal and abandonment, the only safe way to do it is to be entirely alone. ;-p

I have to admit to being people too. *g*
