For me it's always popcorn and sex doll, and everything to do with welcoming Shen Wei, so it was all easy choices. :D :D Oh, and one other! :D It's not the whole team, but I adore the scene where CSZ wants the video of the Envoy deleted, and Wang Zheng and Zhu Hong giggle about him being a fanboy. xD (Wang Zheng laughing always improves any scene exponentially. :D :D)

(Also, the picspam is all kinds of ADORABLE. ♡♡♡ Where is the last picture from again? :D)

And lol, I giggled at the very nice holy grail, so I'm voting for that. :D :D I hope she DOESN'T have a troublesome gold ring. xD

Thanks! :D The last pic is from ep 15, 34:00ish, when they're strategising about how to fool the special commissioner coming to inspect them (who they don't yet know is Zhao Xinci). Wang Zheng says they need someone to pretend to be ZYL. Zhu Hong says the superiors already know them. Chu Shuzhi says, "Actually, not everyone." And they all point at Changcheng. :D

And lol, I giggled at the very nice holy grail, so I'm voting for that. :D :D

Oh, ha, I hadn't even considered that Mt Doom is a special volcano. I was just thinking "the only volcano mentioned in Middle Earth," and Dixing is well-equipped like that. But of course there's the whole "taking it back to where it was forged" aspect, hm. Maybe the volcanoes are linked on a quantum level?

(I think they may have space travel in the present too, without the need to mention it - it wouldn't be relevant to the SID or to any regular people after all, and even the scientists we know are not involved in any space-travel-relevant fields?)

I don't have a clear favourite. What I voted for:

The popcorn. Excellent scene, great dramatic flair for Lin Jing, ZYL jumping on the table and Da Qing being very cat, but points off for Lao-Chu not being there. *g*

The team dinner to welcome SW as consultant - great scene, ZYL and DQ sitting on the table, entire SID, bonus SW! Also, Lin Jing eating the same bite of food twice. *g*

Reunion dinner: cheating a bit, because this one is so delightful mainly because of SW and ZYL poking fun at each other, but also everyone's reaction is delightful, and there's the food, and everything. I just love it.

Greeting the Envoy - I voted for that mainly because it's such a tantalising moment hinting at what happened in between, Zhu Hong telling the team. Maybe that should have been "other" instead, for the unseen scene where they all react to what she tells them! But close enough. *g*

And my actual "other" vote was for the scene where they're reuniting in the street in episode 36, because at that point it's so good to see them all (well, everyone currently alive) come together again! ♥ ♥ ♥

As for Zhu Hong, what if the thing she's forgotten she has somewhere is some old Snake heirloom that unbeknownst to her comes from Fu You and happens to be a spare wick of the Guardian Lantern that Ma Gui made after that ominous cross-temporal skype sessions with ZYL?

You know, it never even occurred to me that they might have space travel in the present! Surely that would affect something, somewhere in a visible way?

(My headcanon is that after the spaceship came to Haixing back then, there was no further space travel. Possibly the ship wasn't all that spaceworthy any more when it arrived, and everyone settled on Haixing knowing they weren't going to be leaving again. Also possibly Dixing still has the knowledge of how to make spaceships, if not the infrastructure to actually do so - though that knowledge might have been lost with the meteor.)

I guess it depends if you mean space travel like we have space travel (the ISS and occasional trips to the moon) or space travel like Star Trek, in which case I feel like part of the SID's role in defending humanity from Dixingren, at the start of the show, would have had to include securing the spaceports, etc.

If humanity had colonised the stars, would Ye Zun have stopped at consuming just one small planet?

I just rewatched it yesterday and Da Qing defiantly stuffing his face is so weirdly endearing and adorable, lol, and Sang Zan and Wang Zheng feeding each other, and GCC going 'awww, FAMILY'. :D Add the Weilan cuteness, and I'm not at all surprised it's winning right now. :D ♡

Yeah, I was thinking definitely less Star Trek and more like current Earth space travel (maybe with some additional extracting resources or something like that, but not colonizing planets and no other aliens). The kind that is not really relevant to anyone unless it's their job or hobby. But there may as well not be any space travel at all - for the characters we know, both of these situations would look the same. :)

I can't resist this thread of speculation, lolol - how much CAN Ye Zun eat? :D :D Or maybe he would choose to only eat Haixing because that's the planet that wronged him. xD

I was thinking more like current Earth space travel, which doesn't affect anything for most people, but I like this headcanon a lot - the ship doesn't work anymore, new ships can't be made anymore (maybe they just lack the infrastructure, or maybe Haixing doesn't even have the right materials/resources), but they like where they ended up so that's okay. :)
