I love that as of my vote it's perfectly evenly distributed between the hallows!

I originally wanted to vote for the Guardian Lamp but then I realised that my big feels about it are from the novel, and you specified dramaverse here. xD

Volume 3 of the novel is such a blur in my mind that I can't even remember what happened with the Guardian Lamp. /o\ I take it it's very different?

It is quite different in how it plays out, yes! It's all caught up in the gods and ghosts aspect of the novel, which obviously the drama wasn't allowed to have. :)

In the dramaverse I'd literally pick anything but the Guardian Lamp, even if it was multiple choice, simply because it broke my heart into little pieces and I get sad from just looking at it. Who needs logical arguments. xD I was even wary of it in the novel for this reason too, but of course it's all completely different. :)

The reason this icon exists is because someone used the phrase "the lantern-is-half-full vs the lantern-is-half-empty views on the ending", and I was like Yes! To me, the lantern is half full! I think part of it is that the Lantern isn't something that happened to ZYL, like the wormhole and so many other things were -- it's something he chose to protect the people around him and the world, which is you know, who he is. But not trying to convince you or anything! I totally understand why you'd be traumatised by it!

Aw, I get it, and I'm happy it works for you and other people. ♡ My reaction is basically "but he shouldn't be in this situation in the first place". It's not fair to even have to be presented with this choice. (I need a less flippant icon for heartbreaking ZYL content, lmao.)

And no worries, I didn't mean that your icon specifically makes me sad - I see the lantern enough in fandom spaces, it's all good. :) Looking at it intentionally will eventually upset me though, lol.
