Ahh, why am I pretty much literally asleep when there’s a poll this relevant to my interests, asdghklfhjkl lol. xD :D :D *votes for ponytail Ye Zun as fav, will come back to give some actual thought to everything else tomorrow*:D

Most frightening: impersonating the Envoy, because that subtle wrongness is unsettling, and also "other", for long white robe in the palace, being utterly deranged trying to talk ZYL into joining him after he kills SW.

Favourite flavour: see icon! It's just such a fabulous outfit, and he's being so fabulous with it. And I love the ponytail, so much. :D

The missing cloak: I don't think Ye Zun's cloak is in the wash - he has that very neat stain-removing power - but I love your other options. Voting for the draught-stopper, that's so important! :D

My votes for most frightening:

• Leading the Rebels, with powers: white robe, gold mask, white hair -- because he's so implacably vicious, and willing to play on Shen Wei's feelings so directly.
• Monologuing hologram in the park -- because I don't think he realises how upsetting his philosophy is
• Long white robe in the palace with bleeding forehead -- this is more 'existentially frightening', because he's literally trying to eat the world

My favourites are:

• monologuing in the park, because I love how polite he is at first, bowing and meeting Zhao Yunlan like he's trying to recruit him, ha
• disguised as Shen Wei (casual), because that SID lab scene is so fantastic: the little laughs, the eyeroll when Wang Zheng and Sang Zan sacrifice themselves, and before that, the way he's practically drooling over the Hallows. Plus, of course, "Xiao Yunlan." :D

For the cloak, I chose "He doesn't like how it feels over his hair, especially with the hood up" -- I actually think that's plausible? After all that time in the pillar, it wouldn't be surprising if he had some touch sensitivity.

Yay, I'm awake, I can Ye Zun properly. :D :D

Most terrifying: Disguised as the Envoy, hands down. But I'm also voting for the shadowy shape with glowy eyes, just to give him some points for really trying, lol, and also I feel like it would probably be the most terrifying irl because you'd have no idea what this thing could even DO.

Favorite: Ponytaillllll, as I said before. :D Gods, he's GORGEOUS. ♡♡♡ He can do whatever he likes and I'll just be *HEART EYES* ngl. But I read the comments first and I'm also adding impersonating regular Shen Wei because ~~~MY LITTLE YUNLAN, check out my new outfit it's just for you~~~ asdfgfdhsjkalskhfdjsk, just his absolute certainty that this is what Shen Wei says on the regular is A++++ wonderful. :D :D It may not be a Ye Zun thing per se, it may be a Weilan thing, but still. :D
(ETA: And now I thought of the deleted scene, okayyyy yes, this look definitely gets my vote Ye-Zun-wise too. :D)

Cloak: "he keeps up with the trends unlike *some* people", 100%, and I can totally see him literally saying that, whether it's actually true or not. :D :D

I picked the white suit as most frightening, because he is so sure of himself in that scene. This is a man who holds all the cards and has nothing to fear.
Almost picked the Heipaoshi disguise, for similar reasons: He’s unstoppable, now commanding Heipaoshi’s political power on top of his own abilities.

For my favourite, I split it between the white suit and disguised as Professor Shen :D

Love the drought-stopper option, but I still believe it’s a fashion choice :P

I'm just going to add this as a random comment: the big version of the second-to-last cap, with Envoy!Ye Zun holding the Lantern, keeps making me laugh, because that's such an exaggeratedly deranged expression. "I have you, my preciousssssssss." :D

Ye Zun!!! Bb. I think he looks great in his embodied villain era, both with the ponytail (see everyone's icons) and with his energy whip and bleeding third eye, though slightly too pouty/smug to be as unsettling as in his Ominous Pillar era or as the hologram in the park. The golden mask looks great on him, and actually it's Shen Wei who patterned his modern-day mask off Ye Zun's, so that makes didi the trendsetter. Therefore the answer to the final question must be that the fashions have changed.
