I picked the white suit as most frightening, because he is so sure of himself in that scene. This is a man who holds all the cards and has nothing to fear.
Almost picked the Heipaoshi disguise, for similar reasons: He’s unstoppable, now commanding Heipaoshi’s political power on top of his own abilities.

For my favourite, I split it between the white suit and disguised as Professor Shen :D

Love the drought-stopper option, but I still believe it’s a fashion choice :P

He really IS terrifying in this scene, and yet he's so unfairly hot while doing that that I manage to ignore this fact every single time. xD If I were a character I'd be toast, at least until he changes his hair, lol.

Oh yes, great point! He has the audience completely in the palm of his hand. And after all, Shen Wei ~doesn't deserve~ that political power, so it's extra satisfying to Ye Zun to wield it however he wants.

One wonders whether part of Ye Zun's success in recruitment was due to the fact that he is, at the end of the day, très chic (even in his pillar!) and everyone else was wowed by his sense of style... :P

The Palace Guard's uniforms are somewhat snazzy and patterned off the Envoy's. Perhaps Zhu Jiu joined in part because of the snazzy dress?
