scene directory

This is a long shot, but does anyone happen to know of the existence of a directory (spreadsheet form or otherwise) of Guardian (drama) scenes by episode - what characters are in them, time stamps, and so on?

I am getting to the age where I can no longer rely on my memory to get me through 40 episodes of material every time I want to look something up, and before I start making one I thought I'd check and see if it already exists.

If not: perhaps crowdsourcing a google doc would be a benefit to the fandom? I have no problem setting one up and then people can chip in, many hands make light work, that sort of thing.

Friends of mine have been keeping one (I sadly failed to contribute much), but IDK if it would be useful / appropriate for public consumption - I'll alert them to this question!

You are very kind! I just hate to duplicate effort and am more than willing to jump in and help in any way with something that's ongoing. 40 episodes is a lot, but not if 40 people do 1 each!

This would be a very useful resource. I'm on my second rewatch and am regretting not noting at least the major SW/ZYL scenes in each ep. Some I remember but there are just so many good moments.

I would really love this. My memory is crap and I'm always struggling. Google Doc would be great. My dream is a wiki :D But a Google Doc could lead to a wiki!

I checked a bit earlier today when we were talking about making a wiki, but apparently wikia.com is down or broken or something? I hope it's nothing permanent or I would say we should just go for it.

(Or if anyone else thinks a fandom wiki should belong somewhere other than wikia.com, I'm all ears.)

It's kind of slow going right now so any help would be much appreciated! This is what I have so far for Episode 1. If anyone has suggestions for how else to structure this so it would be helpful to people looking for a reference, please let me know.

Oh, what do you mean by time stamps?

The minute/second where the clip appears. For example 15:00 - 18:30 is the time stamp for a scene that starts at 15 minutes and ends at 18 minutes 30 seconds.

You'll need to sign up for a Hubzilla account in order to directly edit the document. I literally just stay signed in and don't use Hubzilla for anything else besides editing this thing. You have to use Markdown to code the entries, but there's a link to a cheatsheet on the Home Page of the wiki and it's not hard to use if you've never used it before. And then just go forth and conquer! Feel free to edit any of the pages, or add new ones.

If you don't want to sign up for an account and make direct edits, you can also just compile whatever reference info you want and link me to them and I'll add it for you.

There's a couple of us working on this and none of us know what happened on the show or have any info documents. Part of the reason why we wanted to put this together is to try to understand what happens on the show better, and the mythology and "science" behind it. I just add to the pages as I rewatch episodes or scenes.

I am Ally#2902 on Discord (I'm a member of the guardian discord but I have it muted because it's just too active) and I'm also likealeafonthewind@fandom.ink which is a Mastodon account so you can connect with me there through Hubzilla. I put all the transcripts in a single Word doc so I could search them, but that requires me to come up with accurate scene-specific search times, and I still spend a lot of time hunting around for things!

I made this in December - it's by no means comprehensive, but it does at least mostly get all the Zhao Yunlan/Shen Wei scenes and it does have timestamps.

I'd use it to make episode stubs to be extended later.
