Focus on Scenes - a poll!
Now we've wrapped up our weekly Focus on Supporting Characters series, we need something new to fill the purple, sparkly, ever-shifting void and provide a regular dose of Guardian meta and discussion to our reading pages. The show and/or novel as a whole feels like a lot to take on, so we're proposing a weekly scene discussion. It would work pretty much the same -- an open venue for questions, meta, squee, links to related fanworks (including self-recs!), and links to any past meta and discussions about our scene of the week. You could pick a tiny moment or a longer scene, and if you chose, you could talk about the scene's wider context, as well as digging down into the nuances of the scene itself.
Scenes from the show and the novel would both be welcome (or discussions of novel and drama versions of the same scene side by side, where applicable!). We'd take sign-ups so two people didn't accidentally end up making posts for the same thing. We'd also take requests during sign-ups, so if there's a moment in canon you'd like to talk about but you don't want to host a post yourself, you could let us know and we'd ask if anyone wants to take it on.
When we started Focus on Supporting Characters, there had been a lot of recent meta about Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan, so including them seemed redundant, but things have quietened down a bit since then. Let's talk about our guys -- and/or anyone else you want to include, of course!
If there's interest, we'll have a sign-up post soon, but for now, are there any scenes you're looking forward to discussing or would like to request?

Hee! Not at all -- I just thought it might be a lot of people's go-to scene, or the first one to spring to mind for those with a h/c or angst focus. *g* By all means, stand by to grab it. :-D
