Pangu – primordial creator who ended Chaos
Gonggong – God of Water; knocked down Mount Buzhou; descendant of Shennong
Zhuanxu – battled Gonggong; descendant of the Yellow Emperor
Kunlun – God of the Mountains; first to rebel
Qiren – worried about skies collapsing
Kuafu – halted at Yuyuan/twilight
Houtu – made from the body of Nüwa
Nüwa – repaired the Pillar of the Sky, separated yin and yang
Chiyou – battled Flame Emperor; God of War
Huangtian – Houtu's counterpart?

This is very entertaining (although it doesn't inspire me to read the novel), thank you. At least Da Qing's characterization is consistent between novel and drama?
(Also, I can't help a little glee at novel!Li Qian being on the humanities side, even though it wouldn't work at all in the drama...)

Da Qing and Guo Changcheng are perhaps the closest to their novel selves, but they're different people, all of them. Switching them around would make people notice.

I'm not extrapenguin, but Shen San is one of Kunlun's reincarnations (in between Kunlun and Zhao Yunlan). He's who Shen Wei got the "Shen" surname from - there's an extra short story about him and Shen Wei.
