Everyone can help! Wikia (now called fandom.com) allows anyone to edit the wiki, even without creating an account.

Currently already in the works: detailed episode summaries by riventhorn. If anyone else wants to write summaries, please check with riventhorn first so you don't accidentally work on the same episode.

What's most urgently needed right now are character biographies, quotes, episode highlights, and image galleries. But any and all information is welcome. The more the merrier!

Haha, that was my thought, too. Like when we created the Hallows pages, I put "what does it do?" everywhere. :D

I am quite familiar with the novel, though. So summarizing the novel chapters is something I feel comfortable with. That's something I know I can do and have started.

But collecting information about characters? I am way too frazzled for that. (But I'm thinking other people who have seen the show four times must know a lot more than I do, so... let's hope for the best.)

Pics? Yes! Cool! We are missing profile pics for some of the supporting characters, and picture galleries. We would love pics inserted into riventhorn's episode story summaries, too.

I only added a picture gallery for episode one, so you can see how that is done there. All the other episodes could use galleries, too. (Uploading is a pain, though, I never managed to upload more than one image at a time. There is a mass uploader in the admin interface, but it also requires you to click on every single image separately. Ugh. Not much help there. :/ )

Soooo, wait, are we having two wikis now or is this a fusion/transfer from the wiki that was started on Hubzilla?

OOoooh, right! I forgot to mention that.

It is a transfer of the hubzilla wiki. We decided that it was missing crucial features like parser functions in templates and page inclusion. (omg i have already forgotten what the main reasons were, but there were a few).

We decided that we could either put our time into implementing those features, or start with an already "feature-complete" hosting site and keep our options open to migrate back to a federated, self-hosted solution later when those features are available on hubzilla.

We should definitely put that info on the hubzilla wiki as well (or take that one down).

In any case, all the information that was on the hubzilla wiki has been moved over.

Ah great! I had hoped it would be a move and not two groups accidentally starting the same project. I totally understand wanting to fill content into an existing structure but would be really happy if Hubzilla managed to establish one itself.

Yes, having something ad-free under our own control would be awesome! And definitely still a long-term goal.

But the current implementation kept throwing wrenches into our works left and right, and that was very frustrating.

I know demitas already opened a few change requests for fanzilla to get some wiki extensions implemented, but they're not their first priority. So unless we do that ourselves, it's going to be a long time coming. (And even if we do implement it ourselves, it will take quite a while, because none of us are familiar with the codebase.)

I hope people will help! All we did was create a basic structure and write some templates - I hope it's enough to inspire people to add more and that it doesn't look too intimidating anymore.

This is great! I really like this platform (I use the Yuri!!! on Ice wiki a lot.)

I've been taking notes for fic so I'll see if I can pull something together from those.

Yeah, one of the bigger arguments for wikia was that it is the defacto-standard and everyone knows the site already. The biggest counter-argument of course is that the ads suck. But I have my adblocker set to max and I never see any, so that works okay for me. ;)

I know this fandom has a lot of very dedicated fans who have a good grasp of the characters and the plotlines. So many good writers! <3
