Everyone can help! Wikia (now called fandom.com) allows anyone to edit the wiki, even without creating an account.
Currently already in the works: detailed episode summaries by
riventhorn. If anyone else wants to write summaries, please check with riventhorn first so you don't accidentally work on the same episode.What's most urgently needed right now are character biographies, quotes, episode highlights, and image galleries. But any and all information is welcome. The more the merrier!

It is a transfer of the hubzilla wiki. We decided that it was missing crucial features like parser functions in templates and page inclusion. (omg i have already forgotten what the main reasons were, but there were a few).
We decided that we could either put our time into implementing those features, or start with an already "feature-complete" hosting site and keep our options open to migrate back to a federated, self-hosted solution later when those features are available on hubzilla.
We should definitely put that info on the hubzilla wiki as well (or take that one down).
In any case, all the information that was on the hubzilla wiki has been moved over.

Yes, having something ad-free under our own control would be awesome! And definitely still a long-term goal.
But the current implementation kept throwing wrenches into our works left and right, and that was very frustrating.
I know demitas already opened a few change requests for fanzilla to get some wiki extensions implemented, but they're not their first priority. So unless we do that ourselves, it's going to be a long time coming. (And even if we do implement it ourselves, it will take quite a while, because none of us are familiar with the codebase.)

I am quite familiar with the novel, though. So summarizing the novel chapters is something I feel comfortable with. That's something I know I can do and have started.
But collecting information about characters? I am way too frazzled for that. (But I'm thinking other people who have seen the show four times must know a lot more than I do, so... let's hope for the best.)
Pics? Yes! Cool! We are missing profile pics for some of the supporting characters, and picture galleries. We would love pics inserted into riventhorn's episode story summaries, too.
I only added a picture gallery for episode one, so you can see how that is done there. All the other episodes could use galleries, too. (Uploading is a pain, though, I never managed to upload more than one image at a time. There is a mass uploader in the admin interface, but it also requires you to click on every single image separately. Ugh. Not much help there. :/ )

I hope people will help! All we did was create a basic structure and write some templates - I hope it's enough to inspire people to add more and that it doesn't look too intimidating anymore.
