Vid-finder request

Now that this community exists, let me take shameless advantage of it! I've been looking for a Guardian vid I saw on Youtube - hopefully someone else has better memory than I do:

Which one is the vid that uses soundclips from Granting You a Dreamlike Life to make Shen Wei call Zhao Yunlan "Lan-Lan"?

(It was, alas, not a humour vid.)

Quite possibly there are multiple vids doing that! Unfortunately I can't remember anything else - the Chinese side of fandom has such brilliant vidders, and I've watched so many vids by now, they're all rather blurring together ...

Do you have any more details? Was it an AU vid, or all Guardian footage? Any other pertinent details? I have about 150 vids downloaded, but I don't know them by heart. (I don't think I've even watched all of them!)

It was AU but used mostly recontextualised Guardian footage, if I'm not mistaken. Beyond that, I'm not sure - It may have been one of the Triad AUs, or I may only be thinking that because Granting You a Dreamlike Life.

(I've watched all the umpty-billion vids I have downloaded, but I have no way to tell them apart now! Other than a handful that I've rewatched obsessively, like that brilliant Han Chen/Luo Fusheng romcom thing or Man on a Mission, which I'm still in awe of. Clearly I need a better system to organise my downloads ...)

Not sure if that was what you were looking for but it is awesome! Especially the part where Zhao Yunlan calls Luo Fusheng "Shen Wei" and he looks so hurt. *sniff*

(No, alas, that wasn't the one I meant, so there must be at least one another Lan-Lan vid around!)

(Damn, these vids are seriously making me ship Luo Fusheng/Han Chen, and I haven't even seen Memory Lost.)

I recced it here in case you haven't seen that post. I really like Memory Lost! It's pretty much the *only* cdrama I like.

Okay, and When a Snail Falls in Love.

They're both objectively better quality than Guardian. (But the heart wants what the heart wants. :))

Ha, yeah, same here. I just seem to have fallen into a Zhu Yilong and Chinese language obsession and thus do not care anymore about content, apparently. ;D

I can only think of two examples of this, but both of them are of Luo Fusheng. One from a republican era vid where he's sending a "post-death" message to a Feng Yong, another that is Luo Fusheng x Zhang Yuan, and he ends up in the hospital from over-drinking at some point and our Weilan pair visits him at the hospital. If you have anything else you remember for it maybe it'd ring a bell. (I've watched like 10 hours of this stuff...)
