I'm super tickled by the cave question because it's rare for me to be familiar with every single fandom option, hah, so I voted for everything. :D :D Not sure about Da Qing in the last hundred years (I'm sure had been there before Sang Zan fell in though, because in 10k years he must have been everywhere :D), but it's not unlikely. :D (Did the bears dream about energy-body bears?)

Zhu Jiu mugging everyone (and getting excited when he gets to mug a mugger xD) is now canon to me. Unless Ye Zun somehow pays him, I don't see him even trying to earn money any other way. :P

Not sure about Da Qing in the last hundred years (I'm sure had been there before Sang Zan fell in though, because in 10k years he must have been everywhere :D), but it's not unlikely. :D
I think it's not that likely he was there in the last 100 years, just because he doesn't strike me as the kind of person who wanders around in the mountains without reason, but yeah - in 10,000 years he must have had reason to be basically EVERYWHERE. (I wonder if Wu Xie et al. have found "Da Qing Was Here" graffiti in the most unlikely places?!)

I honestly have no idea what Da Qing was up to before meeting Zhao Yunlan, even as "recently" as a few decades ago? Before we talked about his random bits of knowledge recently, I hadn't even realized how much of a blank canvas his entire past is. But I hope he had lots of fun, and confused entire generations of explorers. xD :D

For the cave, I voted for the BEARS (of course), the Iron Triangle (of course) and other - by which last I mean the most mundane option of all, LOL, namely people from Qingxi village. *g*
I do think the naming of the Hallows is because they turned out vastly more powerful than anyone could have anticipated.
And where Zhu Jiu gets his money? Steals it from everyone, yeah, but probably also blackmails some people he can't otherwise use.
Finally, Guardian is LOVE. Definitely the gift that keeps on giving! EIGHT YEARS! It just makes me so happy. :D

I like the mundane answer, and it makes me wonder if the caves were just a normal place for the people to visit? Like, there were never any Youchu around before, and the pillar also didn't do much of anything? (Or maybe it had been a normal place to visit before the pillar, and then it was a spooky place that they only visited on a dare. :P)

Oh yep, I can totally see him blackmailing people too. Somehow he keeps finding all those Dixingren, so he could just threaten to reveal their secret and it would work a lot of the time.

It might have been a normal place during Hanga times, or the cavern might not have existed in that form. But afterwards, post-Hanga with Sang Zan in the pillar and all - well, in episode 8 just before Zhu Jiu kills the guard, he asks him about places associated with strange legends, and the guard looks in one particular direction. And then Zhu Jiu finds the cave. So I think you're spot on about the spooky place!

Right? He probably does find some people he can't use for his plots, but he can still extort money from them! :p

I figure that when they were created, they did some weird and unexpected stuff right away that showed Ma Gui and Fu You that instead of a reliable weapon, what they ended up was way overpowered and not something they could actually fully control.
