LOL, well, I binged the show then immediately read the novel, then started the show again, so I might have them all mixed up in my head a bit. It just seems like he'd have paid more attention to other things and not really be aware of what scammers do. Or the tech, since he doesn't use that either. He still writes with ink, too.
