Oh, that's true. (I wonder how accurate that translation is.) (*reluctantly dismisses my shiny new proto-headcanon* ;-p)

(Chinese doesn't have tenses, and in English you have to choose. Fu You talks about the future but uses a particle that indicates something is already done when talking about him giving them confidence.)
