I think I'm having a hard time settling on a headcanon for what Shen Wei is doing in-universe because I can't even tell what's going on from a real-world perspective, haha.
Like, what did the production team/costume designer/Zhu Yilong himself do to this poor shirt?

Ooooh, from what I've heard (from a tumblr post that had many people contributing and that I will not find again, lol), at least some of Shen Wei's outfits came from Zhu Yilong's previous photoshoots, so maybe this is a case of unusual costume-grade clothes that are not generally worn in everyday life. :D

You know, I've heard these claims about the outfits but I've never actually seen any source or proof, so as far as I'm concerned it's just a rumour - but either way, if they were inspired by weird photoshoot fashion that would make a lot of sense!

Yeah, same, and I just generally don't know enough about men's fashion (or any kind of fashion, LOL) to even tell what's normal, what's out there, and what's just plain WTF.
