I wrote about it in a fic, along with a whole bunch of other Dixing worldbuilding, and in the process convinced myself that I really want to see more of that volcano especially. *g*

I chose the palace archives because I'd love to dig around and see if there are any records from early, post-ancient war era Dixing where they talk about Shen Wei and Kunlun. (I'm assuming in this scenario that I have a temporary "reading languages I don't know" power or babel fish or something. ;-p)

Alternatively, if Wu Tian'en didn't mind, I'd love to visit his house and see what a private residence is like. (Not that they'd all be the same, but you know.)

In conclusion, I feel like a Dixing boyband would be amazing. :D :D :D

Hee! I'm telling myself that the archivists are all scholars who venerate the Envoy and watch the goings on in the rest of the palace with a disapproving eye. ;-p (Also, I like the idea that one or more of them correspond with Shen Wei on matters of Dixing history (because he's writing a textbook about it for when they finally open a school). :D)

Meanwhile, Sha Ya is off rolling her eyes and doing her indie thing. ;D

I'd love the palace archives post-canon, but I'm not getting anywhere near that place while the Regent and/or the Attendant are around. Unless Shen Wei can be convinced to play bodyguard, but probably not even then. *g*

See, I think the Regent and Attendant are too busy scheming to bother going to the archives, and I'd be quite safe. I could always hide in a back room or in the stacks if someone scary came in. I'd be more nervous in the streets with the palace guard patrolling and occasional public executions. /o\
