Oops, I should explain my "other" vote. This seemed too incidental to include in the poll, but I really enjoy the colour palette for Shen Wei, Guo Changcheng and Chu Shuzhi here. Shen Wei's and Guo Changcheng's clothes are similar in tone and saturation, and Changcheng (as the one in the middle), has some black patterning that nicely leads into Chu Shuzhi's black outfit. <3

Otherwise, I really love the mentoring in this scene (and it makes the theorise that there's a lot of mentoring in Dixing when people first come into their powers), and as always, I love Changcheng being brave and good, and choosing to accept his power. (Not that he has a lot of choice about having it, but he could keep being bummed out or resisting.) *pets him*

Everyone is pretty subdued in that scene because Lao-Li just died, and all of their clothes reflect the mood, but I just really love those three standing there like there.

Definitely! And I feel like in a world where you come into your powers this way, there simply have to be traditions/conventions for how other people react/help/do things. Maybe something in the vein of a coming-of-age celebration even. ♡

Use it wisely." Because I feel like, you know, that's what people would say. *g*)

And the poll is so fun. :) One of my favorite Changcheng scene is him breaking Ye Zun's hypnosis, but I also really love the scene when he's comforting Ji Xiaobai, because he's so sweet there. And I just realised that the Weiwei case comes straight after the water-kidnapping, which ends with Changcheng trying to save Wu Tian'en with the Dial -- so this is the second time in a row Chu Shuzhi has seen Changcheng not be useless contribute positively. Aww! <3 <3 <3 (Oops, sorry, some novel characterisation may have snuck in there. /o\ *reminds self that drama!Changcheng is brave from episode one when he speaks up to the Envoy, even if he's also scared out of his wits half the time* *hearts him*)

And in the other poll I was so sure that nothing can compare to the Li Qian scene (it's so, so touching to me ♡♡♡) but then I read the other options, and the scenes where he stands up to Ye Zun and Zhao Xinci despite how much it goes against his personality are definitely my favorite too, so I voted for all three. :D

Finally coming back to this! It took me so long, I had to check what I'd voted for in the poll, since I couldn't remember at all. But I find I'm in agreement with my past self! *g*

For the record: three each, because apparently I couldn't narrow it down any further. For question 1 - SW comforting GCC; GCC being mentored by two Dixingren; the old-fashioned map. For question 2 - talking back to ZXC; telling CSZ "You're not scary at all"; the livestream.

I especially want to point out the "being mentored by two Dixingren" bit again, because wow, I never actually thought about it in quite those terms, but that is PERFECT. So completely on theme as well as on point characterisation-wise, for all of them - so much love! ♥ ♥ ♥

And the shoulder-clasps! SW and CSZ taking turns! That is such a delightful detail, and I never really paid attention to it before. Thank you so much for drawing attention to it all with this post!
