That's so interesting! It's been long enough since I read the fan-translation that I didn't notice the extra two pages of description from Zhao Yunlan, but you're right, they're not in the fan-translation.
I wonder if they're in the traditional Chinese version that was printed in Taiwan though? I think the Japanese version of the novel used that as the basis for their translation, so it would make sense if the English translation used that one too? Regardless, this existence of multiple Chinese versions, multiple editions that could've been the source of the translation, is so interesting.
