I've found it, along with some other design crimes that I had entirely forgotten about. Nooo! And it turns out I had also saved my author page from an archive of the time, and WOW, that is AWFUL. Definitely material for an amusing post. I will wait for a bit, though, because I don't want to immediately scare off my new friends!

Indeed! Why the colors, why the images, why the cheesy ornamental buttons, blinking gifs and sparkly text...? I think that back then, our feelings could have been simply summed up with BECAUSE WE CAN. :-)
