Picspam: Zhao Yunlan's first visit to Dixing

Zhao Yunlan's first visit to Dixing (episodes 15-17) is an impactful experience.

Episode 15:

Zhao Yunlan first arrives in Dixing after the unsettling experience of the portal.


He looks around with Hei Pao Shi and The Regent.








And maybe doesn't entirely believe The Regent.


He learns more about Dixing's situation from Hei Pao Shi.


Episode 16:

Zhao Yunlan takes in the political vibes at Dijun Palace.








When The Regent takes him around, he (seemingly) single-handedly stops an attack on the street. Seems suss.








When he splits from The Regent, he encounters the Sky Pillar.






After a run-in with An Bai and friends at the Sky Pillar, Zhao Yunlan ducks into the Dixing bar with not the best disguise ever.


And tries to make friends.

Episode 17:

He escapes trouble at the bar with the help of Butler Wu, who tells him more about Dixing and gives him info about instantaneous transportation powers.








Zhao Yunlan remembers they're there to find the Dijun Register and Butler Wu takes him to someone rumored to help.












Unfortunately, it's Ding Dun and instead of helping, he attacks Zhao Yunlan. Butler Wu is there is catch him and Shen Wei arrives just in time.


Zhao Yunlan doesn't have a nice time in Dixing, but he looks great anyway. ♥ I hope you enjoyed this picspam!

Zhao Yunlan always looks great, but something about the light (or lack thereof) in Dixing makes him look especially gorgeous here. And speaking of light, this cap!!!!! Beautiful.

Yes! This is so true.

In this first visit he has so many reactions. I included some of the exaggerated expressions he makes because they contrast with him being serious and observant. Very Zhao Yunlan.

Oh, yeah, that's true! In fact, after these episodes, are there any...? I'm not picturing that combination after this, but am I forgetting something? [Not counting Ye Zun's fake!Envoy in the bar.]

Yeah, there's a tiny moment toward the end of episode 36, in the street outside the SID, but that's the only thing I can think of. Such a shame! I love that combination so much, I always want more of it.
