Look at the way the corners of his mouth are tucked in so often, as if he's afraid/too private to let go and smile big (in the picture with the white shirt and the pendant, it's actually giving him that gorgeous dimple). It's almost entirely at the end that he starts smiling without thinking about the consequences.
