Is this the first time ZYL has seen SW *truly* angry? I mean he's seen 'angry/stern' HPS, 'stern/chastizing' Professor Shen, but I think this might be the first time he's seen angry/angry-upset SW.
Yes, I think you're right! And he's definitely never seen him so angry he starts literally hitting things (the ladder). It's not like Shen Wei does that often!
So, I'm sure it's shocking and I always thought when ZYL was uncertain how to handle things he usually resorts to playing things off. Or playing his 'got no cares' attitude up (which obviously made SW even more upset XD).

My HC has always been that a normal human staying in Dixing too long would get hurt by the dark energy, because of how often SW has mentioned it in conjunction with ZYL touching the hallows.
I do think the Hallows are a different matter, because Shen Wei at one poit says they're not good for Dixingren either ...?
