I'm can totally see Zhao Yunlan installing a fireman's pole in his office just to be eccentric, but also as a not-so-subtle f-u to his father LOL. Such dynamics between the two.

Also poor GCC, so much walking and so much fainting in the beginning episodes. LOL.

Ot1h, I can totally see that, too; otoh, it's a little bit of a security risk. I mean, what's to stop people sitting next to the opening upstairs and eavesdropping on whatever's happening in the office? (Does this ever actually happen in the show, or only in fic?) :-)
