OMG This scene!!!!!! It's nearly impossible to rank the Weilan scenes, but this one is definitely in the top three for me. It's so soft and sweet and gentle and tender and millions of other words to express how blissfully wonderful this moment is! If memory serves me well, I think the music that plays in this scene is similar to what plays during the infamous YOHE lollipop scene on the cliff! It's a melancholic, yet beautiful and nostalgic tune evoking a sweeter and more innocent time that is beyond reach. It's so fitting for this moment, where Shen Wei basks in Zhao Yunlan's company: quiet, safe, and warm, all things he rarely ever experienced in his life. And since the same music plays during both times, it makes it even more clear that Shen Wei is thinking back on that time and maybe even that moment in particular!
BTW, the song is "乱心曲" from the OST if anyone is curious. In fact, the character "乱" is also used in novel!SW's poem about how first seeing Kunlun "disrupted/made discordant" (乱) the "melody of his heart" (心曲)! (Someone more proficient in Chinese can correct me if necessary!)
Do you think he was considering his own plan to stop Ye Zun? What made him smile in the end like that?
Shen Wei was probably reconsidering his plan to stop Ye Zun many, many times, but he couldn't find another solution without (what he believes) risking Zhao Yunlan's life and wellbeing in any way. This may have been one of those moments of reconsidering, if only because he's happiest when with ZYL, especially when he's relaxed and peaceful. He wants moments like this to last forever, but he's lived long enough to know that's impossible. So it's better to live in such moments to the fullest because there may not be another one again.
Maybe it's just me but this scene feels like one of the closest moments to Shen Wei being like his younger self in the present (right behind many scenes in episode 1 when he's realizing ZYL is but isn't Kunlun). We don't see him - and Zhao Yunlan - not often vulnerable like this in the show. How can Shen Wei not smile over this fortunate gift from the heavens? :D

I can see them on that cliff, several hours into a watch on a chilly night, and after losing track of time from watching the stars, bb!Shen Wei notices Kunlun is quieter than usual and sees he's fallen asleep. Rather than wake him (or having failed to gently wake him), bb!Shen Wei covers Kunlun with his robe and continues watching over the camp while the great general he admires rests.
I've wondered if Shen Wei has seen Kunlun fall asleep many, many times back then, and has kept those moments close to his heart. So to see it happen in the present feels all the more special: it's deja vu for SW, and he gets to witness the first time ZYL fall asleep in his company like this. ^_^
