Guardian Wishlist is go!

Thanks so much to everyone who weighed in on the Guardian Wishlist poll! We're going ahead with it, and we think it's going to be really fun - so start thinking about what kinds of things you want to ask for. (Don't hold back! Your wishlist could prompt someone to make the thing they've been meaning to make for ages - or something they hadn't realised they were dying to put together!)

We'll be back in a week or so with rules and guidelines, but we wanted to let you know the schedule now:

13 August: sign-ups open
21 August: first batch of wishlists is posted
31 August: sign-ups close; last batch of wishlist is posted
21 September (Reunion Festival): gifts are revealed

Hi! The short answer is: not yet. The longer answer is we're not on Twitter, and we're hoping participants (and anyone else who wants to!) will promote it around the place. So please feel free to post about it! We expect to have a promo banner and text in a week or so -- when we do, we'll post them here on sid_guardian. :-)
