Question, silly: Shen Wei's arms

I've been noticing how so many of Shen Wei's outfits have a stripey detail in the middle of the upper arm. The charmingly ridiculous sleeve garters, of course, but there are also stripes in that location on sweaters, on his YOHO cloak, and the laughable buffalo plaid shirt has a break at the same spot. Plus, the first wound we see to Shen Wei is stripey claw marks on his upper arm.

Is this significant in ways I don't understand? Theories? I'm thinking there's a comic fic somewhere in here...

I think it's mostly just because he has beautiful arms. But I did notice that Kunlun's outfit has visible seams at the same location...I don't know if that's significant, but Shen Wei's wardrobe does seem to take inspiration from Kunlun!

The t-shirt with plaid sleevie-thingies has an actual explanation, which is that he was supposed to be bare-armed but Zhu Yilong was getting heat rash/hives. :(

I wrote sleeve garter meta last year, and got some amazing observations in the comments!

I saw this post earlier and totally blanked but now my brain is back online. The sleeve garters were Zhu Yilong's idea (he'd played a character who wore them right before Guardian and liked them; Cen Zimo in Eternal Wave iirc). Here's a translation of [the video interview that is now missing from the post].

So, I don't think there's a real narrative meaning but we can add any we want. ^^
