Summary: 'I'm not dumb,’ Zhao Yunlan says. He puts his right hand around Shen Wei's bicep, indulges his curiosity, squeezes gently. As he suspected, there's hard muscle under the rich fabric. Shen Wei hadn't been damaged by a fall from the roof, hadn't even been ruffled by Wang Yike's attack; he's letting Yunlan touch him now, but he doesn't have to.

He crowds closer still, keeps his hand lingering on Shen Wei's arm.

'I know humans, Prof,’ he says. 'And you're not one.’
