I’ve been thinking about when the Yashou leaders discovered Shen Wei is the Envoy, and that he’s actively involved in the conflict. Shen Wei had to introduce himself to Ying Chun; Fourth Uncle recognised him on sight (because they’d met before? I just checked, and he starts, “Aren’t you the Black--?” Shen Wei interrupts and introduces himself as SID consultant Shen Wei, and Fourth Uncle then calls him “Shen Daren.” So maybe Ying Chun told Fourth Uncle?); but when did Ya Qing find out? Do you think Zhu Jiu told her, or did she learn from her own spying/scouting? And when she found out, did it give her pause? If the Yashou still remember and revere Fu You, surely they have a lot of respect for the Envoy, too!
