This made me laugh, and also, SIGH. I hated Ye Zun until I started writing him. Then I was all, "...damn it."

I feel like Ye Zun in the show is really not that exciting, I was expecting... more?? Fandom helped fix that, of course. My favorite clip of him is actually from a deleted scene (where he kills Jia Jia D:). Zhu Yilong did a really great job in it of portraying Ye Zun in Full Psycho mode.

Yay! <3 Then I benefited greatly from this situation - thank you!! (I love Zhao Yunlan and Ye Zun "proving it" to each other, with the other person both times being like, "No don't--what are you doing!" And Shen Wei just calmly responding, "Yes, what?")
I feel like Ye Zun in the show is really not that exciting, I was expecting... more??
Right?! For most of the time he's even in the show, he's literally a dark shadow that... taunts people?? He's like a Monty Python villain, "I laugh in your general direction." But then when we can actually see him he's creepy and disturbing, so it was hard for me to know which manifestation to root for. (I deny all death! Jia Jia's included! <3 But that scene did make the view of him walking into the classroom and clapping at the chalkboard make more sense. I don't think I realized how weird that was until I knew something was supposed to happen afterwards. :) )
Zhu Yilong did a really great job in it of portraying Ye Zun in Full Psycho mode.

Yes!! I was very disappointed we didn't get more of Z1L acting evil, I was really looking forward to it. If only he got an equal amount of screentime as Zhu Jui... sigh. The classroom scene was pretty confusing, when I watched it I thought it was just to introduce the idea that YZ was pretending to be SW before I discovered the deleted scene. Oh well, it gave us cane!YZ so I still like it, haha.
So. Creepy.
YEAH. I was so uncomfortable, but it was also weirdly sexy. Creepily sexy. Damnit, Z1L.
