SID office layout

I was curious if anyone had theories (or facts) about showers in the SID bathrooms. It seems likely they'd have them, what with the exercise equipment and the fact that it seems to be a 24 hour office (also it seems a sensible thing to supply when you have people doing fieldwork). But I'm not sure how common such a thing is, and the SID offices are (as I'm learning fromyue_ix's diagrams) rather beyond my ken.

My personal headcanon, though based on extrapolation rather than actual screencap-able evidence, is that they have showers. They'd be useful for the reasons you cite, but primarily: the building is a converted fire station, and when it was a fire station, it almost certainly had a shower room. It might just have been one - depending on when the building was converted, it might have been dudes-only-as-default - and the original layout not quite what you'd like for a police station, but I'd assume the basic infrastructure is there. So IMO, it wouldn't be weird to assume showers of whatever configuration you need. (When it was relevant for me in fic, I went with a big communal shower room left over from fire station times where a couple of stalls had been retrofitted. ^_^)

I thought the same thing (it being a police station), even though I didn't put things together about it being a converted fire station. THAT WOULD EXPLAIN THE POLE HA HA
