Bingo-Specific Episode-Ep30

Some of the emotional episodes are towards the end and of course,the one with the kitchen scene. But Episode 30 is also hands down one of them which really made me emotional. It's pretty much where the series turns so serious that there's no going back to those good ol' times. The first time I almost cried but on a rewatch, even though I knew everything,it still made me think that Lin Jing had betrayed the SID members and how hurt Zhao Yunlan was.

Shen Wei is accompanying Sha Ya and Hua Yuzhu. He's so flustered about the 'I love you' as I'd expect him to be and he's just so cute about it. Then we get this really cool night sky projection ring Lin Jing has created for Sha Ya. <3


Lin Jing is being very shifty yet again.


Yunlan hates the fact that they have to hide the Ye Zun crisis from the public.


Zhao Yunlan is angry, Minister Gao is angry and only Zhao Xinci can calm down the old guy so Yunlan glares at his dad and Zhao-outs of the office.

 
Dad admits that his son is too smart for his own good,in other words,'I'm proud but he's also a headache.'.


In Dixing, the regent turns out to be the bad guy after all.Always knew there was something about him, can't trust anyone with greasy hair. >:(


BCE. Fight! K.O. But oops.


Shen Wei talks to his stoned brother who's jealous of being locked up and just wants some fashionable clothes. Shen Wei is still the better looking twin though.



Back in Haixing we get to see Zhao Yunlan trying to bribe the lab dude with a lollipop, being his awesome self because who needs superpowers when you're sneaky and clever?


Then his dramatic entrance upon overhearing Lin Jing having a secret conversation, probably about creating X-men?


Then we have the scene that makes me really realise what good actors both of them are,to have made me feel just as betrayed as Yunlan is here.


Lots of guilt in Lin Jing's eyes and oh Yunlan. T_T


Hurt Yunlan and boss is not in the mood for jokes.


Everyone tries to stand up for Lin Jing.


And then this-my heaaaart.The SID members are dejected.


We get Yunlan missing his husband and worrying about things,all the while looking pretty.


The SID is being suspected of being the bad guys by the people and Zhu Hong is rescued by Ying Chun who can also run away fast enough in a dress and heels.How you do that, auntie Ying Chun?


Chu Shuzhi gets a letter from BCE but Changcheng's diary writing skills come to good use as he can tell the difference between Shen Wei's and the writing on the letter.Chu Shuzhi is very proud of his boyfriend.


Zhao Yunlan is picked up by dad and vice-minister- what an honour!- and brought home where he promptly proceeds to sit down petulantly because it's his house and he can do whatever the hell he wants. Zhao Xinci is probably sorry for his bad behaviour or something. -_-


And lastly, how to not greet your dad

So Shen Wei is trapped, the SID is on its way to be abandoned by the higher ups, Zhao Yunlan has a thousand things to take care of and things don't look good at all.

There you guys have it,my little take on this episode that has a special place in my heart. :)

Shen Wei's flustered-ness at the beginning is SO cute, I'm glad someone else found it endearing :D

You're right, this is a hell of an episode, there's so much going on, and it's a real turning point. And...hey, Lin Jing is really expressive here, too; he's so rarely serious, I'd forgotten how upset and ashamed he was. Great post for a rather underrated episode!

Shen Wei is always endearing,sometimes I wonder how Zhu Yilong is real.
Yeah,Lin Jing is more of a comic relief usually.So glad to see you enjoying the post. :D

You know, I'd never thought much about episode 30 before, which was clearly remiss of me because Shen Wei was freaking adorable in the beginning with the ring scene (though the bit right after when he took far longer than usual to open the portal, plus that disastrous fight in the Palace, were both heartbreaking), I really love that ring and also ship Lin Jing/Sha Ya, and Lin Jing is one of my favourite secondary characters... Really, why haven't I re-watched this episode fully even once?

Also, this: It's pretty much where the series turns so serious that there's no going back to those good ol' times is the perfect episode summary, now that I think about it.

So, thank you for this post, now excuse me while I go stare at those gifs/caps some more!

I think the last 10-15 episodes get forgotten about in the way that we remember the gist of the story but not each and every thing.That's why I like reading the episode discussions here so much.
I pretty much rewatched the entire thing,well,almost, a few days back and was shook by how I felt again despite knowing everything.That's what prompted me to write about this episode. Haha!Glad to see you liking and you're welcome!

Yes, this episode has so much in it! It feels like the big turning point to me, too. There are lots of angsty and serious moments before this, but from episode 30 on, it just seems like all the bad stuff happens faster and simultaneously. Zhao Yunlan is so great in this episode - he has so much going on and so much to worry about. ♥ Zhao Yunlan. I love the SID standing up for Lin Jing - that was such a nice team moment. And Shen Wei with Sha Ya and the ring was a sweet moment. I love when he has to whisper what she's supposed to say.

Episode 30 has so much going on for it! And yeah, imo it's the point of no return for a lot of things. *heartbreak*

Also HOW MUCH DO I LOVE ZHU HONG for being the only one to stand up to Zhao Yunlan and walk Lin Jing out? A lot. I love her A LOT (even though I don't really like Lin Jing!). Zhu Hong <3 5evah

Not only standing up so fiercely,also implying that if Shen Wei were here,he would be reasonable about it.I kind of wonder about that because Yunlan did plan things with Lin Jing after all. Zhu Hong and Lin Jing are often seen together,so I guess her friendship with him made her more defensive. Bless that girl.<3

Yes, there's so much good stuff in this episode! ♥

On rewatch I really noticed the little Zhu Hong/Lin Jing friendship moments that totally passed me by the first time.

I think I first noticed it in one of the club scenes when they go to watch Sha Ya but definitely noticed more on a rewatch.
